Newcastle's fans did nothing, they didn't summon an entire country to come and buy them. Saudi Arabia wanted to buy a premier league club, and Newcastle were convenient easy pickings at £300m and had and still have huge potential.
We're not for sale for £300m, we are in an entirely different situation but as always you find a way to lump all the blame on our season ticket holders while you yourself continue to do nothing.

That Romero red will have suited our owners perfectly.

They wanted a state of the art multi sports and entertainment venue in London, with the long term vision of NFL becoming the focal point with an eventual franchise the ultimate goal.
In the meantime, alongside the NFL, boxing, and high end music and entertainment events they need a so called '"Anchor tenant" to utilise the venue on a regular basis to pay for it. (Anchor tenant is their own term, btw).

The football team is the only 'attraction' at the venue that requires investment from the owners themselves.... If they could sell the football club alone and rent the stadium back they wouldn't hesitate.
The stadium is already listed as a separate Private Limited Company (PLC)

As you have stated, the football team is, just a small part of a wider business empire that makes a lot of money for them.

ENIC are doing nothing to protect their interests . Any owner that let's their assets depreciate is foolish . If we get relegated it would wipe millions if not billions off of the value of the club . If I was Levy I would be thinking that ENIC are deliberately driving down the value of the club so they can buy him out and have full ownership . Whatever happens you can buy a Tottenham season ticket in the local joke shop at the end of the season .
The asset is the billion pound multipurpose sports and entertainments arena.
Beyonce, the Foo Fighters, Oasis, the NFL, the Boxing and WWE won't give a single shit that Spurs are playing Oxford United instead of Manchester United and the derby is now Millwall and not Woolwich.
The football operation will need a massive haircut, so we'll sell the players and replace cheaply. But the other side of the venture will carry on.
Don't get me wrong, the non football operations income is impressive and it should be used properly to propel the football club to new heights. I've got no problem with gokarts and concerts because in theory it gives us a massive edge, but it does seem that it's being misused or perhaps even the premier league football is now the sideshow.
