i think levy was an enic man through and through and always worked within the limits joe lewis set. to me it looks like the second generation has come in and decided to run the show and got rid of levy as part of that. but like many second generation flunkies they haven't a clue between them and don't really care if they fail because they've been given everything they've ever had. levy was actually experienced and not terrible at working for the billionaire owner who doesn't spend. the kids are going to ruin us

It's short-sighted of people to think this way but no doubt it will be the bullshit media narrative.
1. Even Ange has more balls than Levy because Ange did not quit even when plans for winning the league with mediocre wages inevitably went tits up again.
2. Levy is basically a significant part of ENIC anyway, so when people said they wanted Levy out, it was really wanting ENIC out too.
ENIC rode their luck for far too long. They happened to have some of the best players the game has ever produced.
Modric, Bale, Son, Kane, Nelson.
The luck has dried up; and there is nobody to pull a rabbit out the hat in every game. Spurs are back in West Ham / Everton territory, where they belong. You have to earn your way out of this mess, not buy it. Just because Spurs are big spenders, it doesn't give them the right to call themselves a big club. 1 major trophy in decades is the yardstick.
They cannot sign world class players. They need to coach them. The fact that Spurs have ZERO academy players in the team speaks volumes - the club is rotten to the core, unable to coach and develop players.

the singing of "sacked in the morning" towards end of the match was half hearted
Sadly in my experiance with academy clubs in the midlands & east yorkshire, most academies coaches have picked 3 or 4 players that they think will make it then get the rest of the squad to fit round them, they then have blind spots with those players (or maybe they stick with them because to change would call their ability into account)
our school team ( 6th form) had 3 lads who were at 2 different academies (they signed youth forms but thety were released before they were 20) we had 4 lads who were head & shoulders better than the 3 academy lads & those 4 lads only trained at local grassroots teams once a week for 1hr, not 3 times a week for 2hrs each session
If vinai, lange frank were all plants to take us down, it would actually make more sense than if they were trying to do a good job. That's how fucking bad these decisions have been
