Levy became a father figure for a lot of our fanbase

They were swayed by the Levy time and you got levy'ed meme bullshit and grew a deep emotional connection to the man

That much is plain to see

I think he even became a bit of a sex symbol for many of them too
Remember Shady running all around the forum and chasing us down with his "Letter of Apology" to Daniel.
That was funny.

What I’m saying is, I highly doubt the Lewis’ were totally uninvolved in the business.
Peter Charrington, Vivian Lewis and Nick Beucher (Vivian's son-in-law reported to be the person among the Lewis heirs taking on a leadership role) were totally uninvolved in the business.

We are under new management. That's just the unvarnished reality. My sincerest apologies to anyone who finds that inconvenient for their outrage at the way the club has been run. I don't find it inconvenient for *my* outrage at all. For the Dictatorship of Levy to give way to a bunch of squabbling novice failkids is much of a muchness, imho.

This is it.

Levy's mess was going to take years to put right. Sadly, replacing the ringleader with the circus has been a lateral move.

Blights, every last one of them.

Unless you were close to the board it’s very difficult to know with any certainty how much was Levy and how much was ENIC/Lewis’.

Having spent 30 years in finance across several different business areas, I find it hard to believe that the ownership weren’t heavily involved in what happened at THFC. Day to day operations would have no doubt been down to Levy, but in my personal experience I’ve not known any millionaire owner who hasn’t wanted to know in great detail what the strategic plans for the business were, and once they were set, be regularly reported to on progress.
You will therefore know that ENIC being a business does not make any decisions it is the people owning or running it. That was Joe & Levy but is now the Lewis children. So whilst the business name has not changed those in charge have and when children take over their father’s business they frequently take it in another direction. Too early to know how genuine they are with what they are saying.

They've not sacked Vinai and Lange. We decided to sign two players in January, one a player we just had no fucking need for, and made him one of our top earners, even though he's have went to be a rotation player at Villa, and they waited for months longer than necessary to sack the worst manager we've had in decades.

I'd say they've put their stall out already and have shown nothing but incompetence. So, more of the same.

I agree they have not handled the January window well but it remains to be seen whether their words of spending money in the summer & increasing wages actually happens. They have only had control since September.

Understatement of the year, the transfer window was shocking!

I'd say our worst transfer window we've ever had under these owners considering the context of where we are in the table.

Things outside January are what is the most concerning bit. Allowing that rot to continue for months, with seemingly no pressure on Frank, until we were deep into a relegation fight is wild.

Rumours that the board wanted to get him gone as early as November, but put full faith in Vinai and Lange. If things are that bad, make a decision yourself and they can deal with it.

Why Vinai and Lange are still there is wild. Talk they're both gone in the summer. All well and good, but that means we're going into a season, again, with absolutely no plan at all. We'll be months behind everyone else, all the main targets will be gone and we're back feasting for our usual fair of unwanted average crap. And that's best case scenario, worst case, competing with the likes of Disney FC for players.

I can't point to one competent thing they've done since taking over. It's extremely concerning.

The owners being currently the Lewis children probably know less about football than many of us who have supported the club most of our lives. Not dissimilar to the Oil rich owners. Some owners despite their lack of knowledge interfere and make decisions but the sensible owners take advice from people that have experience in football. Vinai is CEO and not a football person but he runs the club. The football people were Lange, Patrici & Frank. There are 2 versions of what happened re Frank, either the owners overruled those in the club or that Lange & Vinai finally lost faith with Frank and the owners immediately backed them.

Levy was an owner that whilst he had experience in Football that interfered and was rightly criticised for it. The Notts Forest Manager is another owner without any real knowledge that interferes and it is not going well for him. I very much doubt that if we get new owners that they will be football people but money people. They then will have to employ football people to run it.

Now the problem the owners have is that Levy and his knowledge is gone, Patrici has gone, we have a temporary Manager whose views are not likely to be sought. That leaves Lange. I agree he deserves to go but they can hardly advertise his job before he goes and unlikely have any contacts to approach someone who could take over. Their best course of action is to replace Paratici and then when he is in place remove Lange. Just removing them both without having someone competent to run the football side would be chaos. Who would deal with transfers. We certainly do not want those decisions being made by the owners. It is a mess but so many wanted Levy gone and did not care what replaced it. We cannot make that mistake again in the summer.

Good on him, totally deserved. At least he got some compensation after turning Tottenham into one of the richest clubs in the world under ENIC'S watch, performed a miracle working under these systers if you ask me.
Weird how you get more satisfaction from the clubs position in the Deloitte money league than you do from the teams performance on the pitch.
The circus freak of the forum.

Well done.

I agree with all of that.

I am amazed how angry people have become in Levy's absence when juxtaposed with the apathy when he was still here, every time he left us short during transfer windows.

Levy was in charge for more than 40 transfer windows and was responsible for employing just about everyone at the club during that period.

Simon Jordan's behaviour defending Levy is also fucking embarrassing.

To reverse the position created by Levy, at the point he was sacked as THFC chairman, would take anyone a significant amount of time to sort out.

Where was all this anger while Levy was taking the piss during transfer windows and stealing a living as the best paid chairman in the Premier League?

Levy wants a billion pounds by the looks of it.

I'd actually accept relegation if the greedy cunt got nothing like that for his share.

There will be happy times again after Levy.

For me he was 100% the reason Spurs have under achieved in the last 25 years.

I think it's probably a bit weirder that the first thing you after a NLD loss is bait 'fellow' Spurs fans, attempt to wind up your 'fellow' Spurs fans by stating that Forest scored even though they didn’t and failed to turn up for a month after we won the EL because it's difficult to troll happy people...

But this is your entire existence and personality of the forum so maybe we should just expect it, I can only imagine your glee if we actually did go down...fucking cockroach.
