I never understand how people can't:
A. Acknowledge when he's playing shite and
B. Acknowledge his limitations...which are many.
He's as much a liability as Serge ever is and I really don't know what he brings to the team.

The simple fact is that we are better off as a team with him at DM than no one at DM, or him at CB and Sánchez on the bench

He's leaner now than when he last played there though.
Now on Eric Dier the footballer...He is not a better CB than Sanchez and he need to stop being humoured. He is clearly a valuable squad presence. But We should actively be looking to upgrade him for centerback with more pace. He should not be any more than cover.
Lost agility, I guess - but even for England 2 weeks back he got destroyed a few times by off-form Eriksen
He probably is the player with the atitude and aggression that I like most in the squad. A shame that playing wise is a donkey.
Even though I can't stand him as a player, there is no doubt that the guy is intelligent and cultured. I wish more players were like him in that regard.

The two posts above are me in a nutshell. He is a great team mate but a very poor player. If we are going to have a ceremonial cheer leader let's sell Hart and give Eric the job but neither should be anywhere near our first team.
