Looks like you were completely wrong as usual. We all had a slight hope our luck might continue but your blind faith in this team was sheer stupidity. First good team and we were soundly thumped. Spain could have scored 6! And Pickford played the best I have ever seen him
'soundly thumped'? That's bollocks.

They were the better team, however, they only scored their winner in the 86th minute.

Please go Southgate

There's every chance the FA will give this plank anoher extension to his contract

Shoulda been fired after Croatia, defo after Italy

His club career was getting sacked by Boro

says it all

Potter and Howe are MUCH better managers

Hopefully Potter

a) We lost 2-1 to an 86th minute goal.
b) Their xG was 2, not 6.
c) Pickford didnt make one save I wouldn't expect a PL keeper to make. Not sure how Spain score 6.

You & others were negative all tournament. I wasn't happy with our performances but we got to a final. We didn't go out to the first good team we played, we went out to the best team in the competition, the one who beat absolutely everybody.

You stated, and I quote, ‘the Swiss will roll over us’ but now they’re not good. You were boring all tournament about this crap.

Alvaro Morata has to feel like he's top of the world right now.

He gets continously shafted in the media and by supporters for "not being good enough" in spite of being the fourth best goal scorer in the history of the national team. Now he got to lead his country to European glory as captain and mentor to a very young team.
One of my favorites...wish he'd have come to Spurs when Poch tried to get him. Love him.

Saka is a good player and, an occasionally great player.

I think the pity is he’s clearly had absolutely all spontaneity drilled out of him by Woolwich. He has an extremely narrow but effective skill set that he executes very well.

Palmer, in contrast, looked like he was reacting to what was in front of him and continuously adjusting.
Love this comparison, Cranny. It's absolutely insightful and spot on. Palmer's got his things to work on but he can make things happen.

Still misusing xG wrong I see. It's a cumulative stat, so without knowing xG/SOT it's of limited utility. To wit, if Spain played England again and HK dove in the box 10x and then pen-merchanted all 10 ( or 1-9) of them that would lead to an xG of 8 and a xG/SOT of 0.8. Just because xG equals only 2 does NOT mean they should have scored only 2. Perhaps it was the finishing and someone like Sonny would have handled it. But xG should not be interpreted like that.

Also, see Morata post and response...much better Euros than HK because of the same reasons I like him and was happy for HK to leave...and you've now soured on HK...but all of Spain is in love with Morata.

Because Kane wasn’t fit and Morata was .. great.

Watkins in the tiny amount of time he had on the pitch did something more special than Morata did all tournament.

Hold it, didn't you jsut say you'd had enough of "kane's not fit" excuses in major tournaments? In US sports, if you play you don't use supposed injury as an excuse...yet so many are proffering such nonsense for HK with no proof. And beyond that, seeing as this performance is in line with ALL of HK's other performances in major tournaments for England how can you use this as an excuse? Morata is also a year older.

The answer you are looking for is that the things Morata can do he can do against any opponent whereas HK cannot...which is why one has silverware and the other doesn't.

Did it come home because of it? Because Morata's insignificant contributions brought it home.

And we're ignoring the xG stuff, right? Gotcha.
