I await the Premier League's response because from what i can see here, they are well and truly fucked.

Yeh if it was just the oil clubs, Chelsea and City they might have room but the Prem depends on money from the top 6 via TV rights to survive so they are fucked either way.

They will probably have to make some statement such as a big fine or something. Then hard negotiations will begin.

Well we already play the LC practically for free and the FA Cup barely covers 1 players wage for a season. This replaces the CL and multiplies it several times over. So you're left with sacrificing what you've just admitted is a diluted payout from the league....so, yeah, the ESL money will dwarf all else.
I’m not sure that’s true. TV revenues plus gate receipts for circa 55 games per season usurped by 10 games in the ESL for us, it’s a stretch to say that’ll dwarf it.

All conjecture at this point but I’d very much doubt that.

A large chunk of whom pay either a lot less than in Europe or chip in and watch as a 50 strong supporters club. I think key revenue will come from commercial sponsorship
Its always TV money in sports now. Look at any league or club's financials in the world. TV money is always the biggest piece, but yeah, commercial revenue will be magnified now.

And commercial revenue for the clubs outside this will take a big hit too...much less upside to paying to get on Fulham or Leicester's shirt now.

They have threatened to eliminate these teams from the PL. That to me is overplaying their hand because the big 6 can now say go for it. We don't care, we're making billions anyway.

There's probably nothing they can do to prevent so ultimately they'll have to embrace it. They'll be League with twice as many SuperLeague clubs as any other league. The biggest change is that matches between Top 6 club will become even bigger. I think they'll want to push for entry to the SL by the highest placed non Superleague club.

Premier League Rule 9.
For a starter.
Thats a roadblock thats in the way no matter when they start. Its a negotiation that will always have to take place, but there's nothing that says that negotiation can't be done quickly. And at the end of the day, the ESL clubs could just call their bluff and start play anyway. They've got the leverage, they wouldn't have made the announcement if they didn't know that.
