Club Everton - The comedy

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

One thing I love about our ground is it’s the same pubs, the same walk, the same rat burger from a a van on the way out.

They’ve plonked a modern marvel in the middle of our home. Not on some soulless concrete slab

The council after 5 years of planning have put a no parking ban on the whole area within 30 minutes
could well be a stampede for these jamjars

It looks fine. Standard German stadium. We are behind in terms of modern stadia so it is a good addition, if a little uninspiring. At least it isn't that annoying single tier bowl (with one side maybe having a second tier) that nearly all newish stadiums have (aka Leicester, Southampton, Cardiff, Derby, Hull...the list goes on and on). Almost like they bought a stadium in Ikea.

The original design looked more unique inside and out. Everything is so expensive in this country, it is going to be difficult for teams to build new grounds.

On the new ground, I do fear there will be some safety incident. The station was chaos with 10000 and the those walkways round the stadium look very narrow with the Mersey flanking it. Also apparently the concourses in places were rammed already.
Think the setting itself will be stunning. Kind of crazy to build on a river mind.

For work I was up in Liverpool last week. Incidentally enough I was booked into a hotel next to the Everton stadium. The hotel was called the Titanic. The hotel had nice big rooms but was a bit grotty. It is opposite a building called the Tabacco Warehouse, which might be one of the most impressive buildings I have ever seen; my brain couldn't compute the scale of it. There was also a poetic beauty to half the building being renovated for flats and the rest being delict (for now). My cab driver said it was the biggest factory in the world. I think he meant brick factories but anyway my window overlooked the Everton stadium. I have a few thoughts...

Impressive stadium but looks a bit like a shopping centre.

There is absolutely nothing around it apart from dodgy back streets. I needed to get a toothbrush and had to walk 25 minutes to a Tesco local and back. I could have got an uber but decided to "see" more of Liverpool. My journey was just a main road and flats.

I couldn't see any train station nearby but wasn't looking to be fair.

Large swathes of Liverpool is empty factories but is being developed into posh flats.

Apparently they expect this to be a big issue.

Most grounds fan disperse in all directions. The Everton ground there is only one way out and the rest is water so they are expecting huge bottlenecks.

No pubs or anything round there either to wait it out
I bet Levy is kicking himself

He should have built a one way exit out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium , more people would have to stay in the ground longer and buy more food and beer

:levylol:
