No reason to not go strong with the 3rd round played over a weekend without PL games

True, but if we had the Fulham draw against Rotherham, it might have been good to start one or two youngsters such as Donley, giving them a full debut and if successful it then allows Ange more freedom to use that youngster. Plus injuries less likely if we start fewer first team players

We have only two Club trained players atm (Skipp and Austin as 3rd GK) which limits our UEFA squad size to 23 players plus u21's - be good to start to get club trained players for the future and Ange has commented several times he's building for the future.

Burnley will have no interest in a cup run you'd think? they'll be putting everything into survival.

No PL that weekend so no reason not to play - the prize for them is to get to 4th or 5th round with more matchday and TV revenues, and drop out whenever FA Cup threatens to get in the way of PL games they need to get points in to survive in PL

All the more incentive to get at least 1 Jan transfer done in time for the opening of the window so they can play.
Paying the extra £500k or whatever to “do the deal” if it means the player can play in this fixture it’s probably good economics

Hopefully everyone who has struggled to get tickets will pick some up for this game. Especially for the kids.

In the past this would have been around family birthdays so would have tried to get a few tickets or onto the family packages when they sold them.

Nice if other families get to do similar traditions.

We’d have lost Kane if we’d have got Top 4.

Winning a Trophy was maybe the only thing that might have persuaded him to stay
It's incredible to think the likes of Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte all failed to win a single trophy between them at one of the biggest, wealthiest clubs in the country ........Not even a league cup or FA cup

It absolutely defies logic

I guess it’s an OK draw but Burnley will have nothing to lose and will look to just have fun. If we’re going to rest some key first teamers then god knows what our starting XI will look like. I’m half expecting a call.

Just received a reminder that the Burnley FA Cup game will be on the Automatic Cup Ticket Scheme.

No indication of pricing yet, but I'd like to think it will be a flat £25 or so. I don't think Ticket Exchange will be in operation though, so there could be loads of empty seats.
