You could say appointing him worked out pretty well for us as he did some decent work overall but it really speaks volumes about Levy's and the clubs due diligence and judgement.
It's one way to look at it but another would be; how does an organisation looking to employ someone know that they are about to be investigated before even the authorities know that any potential rules have been broken and thus not even start an investigation into them?

I don't know all the timings and sequences other than there were zero reports of any impropriety at the time of us hiring him. There was a peep in the Italian media let alone UK media, not a sniff.

It's entirely in keeping with Tottenham's view though when it comes to Paratici. Investigations into the alleged issues at Juventus had been going for months before the Italian began working for the north London club in June 2021. Either Spurs failed to do their due diligence or simply hoped it would blow over.

I wonder what one can say about Villa, Chelsea and a couple of other clubs involved in purchases and sales of young players at clearly inflated prices, which appear to have only one purpose and that is to improve the 2 clubs ffp positions. Both clubs :

1) Book inflated sales and profits in current year
2) Amortise inflated purchase over players contracts (typically 5 years)

So they are all artificial deals to help the 2 clubs trading with each other - usually youngsters but trading at £20m+ before any/many first tea, appearances

Very similar to what Paraciti was involved in

Not really the point is it. Just whataboutery. The issue was that we appointed someone who under investigation for wrongdoing. Thats why he was put on gardnening leave after 18 months with us and then let go after 20 months.

Paraciti (and others in Italy) were certainly not charged when hired - think it was a year or more later they were charged.

Yet in PL the offences committed in full public view and comment by multiple journalists (unlike Paraciti prior to hire by us) but not a peep by any of the PL or FA or uefa regulatory guys when they should have been well aware of those type of offences after the publicity in Italy

That was the point being made

Again, I’m not 100% on the timeline but my understanding is Juve settled with UEFA for ffp irregularities, therefore the matter was settled but a further secret undercover investigation was being conducted for the same irregularities settled with UEFA by Italian prosecutors. How are “we” supposed to know about a covert undercover operation being conducted by Italian prosecutors and old bill???

He is a sub-contractor who is hired when we need him, I can handle that!
(but he is really a member of Levy's secret order of coupon book users)
