No, I was assuming there were no footballing reasons why you would like him. Or I couldn’t think of anything based on what I’ve seen of him. But fair enough, if you feel he has something good for us. Let’s hope you’re right. :)

I did initially think his approach and tactics were refreshing but over time I’ve seen enough to feel like he’s out of his depth coaching at this level.

Yeah they definitely were but it seems maybe it doesn't suit our squad. Let's hope that can change because I do think he is a good manager but if he doesn't suit the players and vice versa it won't be good

They're my everything, without sounding soppy. It means so much my Dad and I have this connection. It came from my grandad and yeah it's just so important to me you know?

I completely agree. I have a similar connection with my dad re spurs. It’s the main thing we talk about tbh.

Hes getting on and hasn’t been too well for a while now, but seeing his pure joy whenever we (all too rarely) do something great, like reaching the CL final…those are some of the best memories I have with him.

Know exactly what you mean.

My Dad and I are chalk and Cheese, we had a big falling out when I was a teenager, which is a long, long while ago now. It took a while, but we gradually reconnected and it was purely through our mutual love of this great club.

He lives in Spain now, but we talk on the phone before, during and after the game, never miss a single one.

I'll be honest, the last thing I've wanted to do for weeks now, is talking about Spurs with him, but then I remember there's more to this than just my depression over how we're doing at the moment, so we talk and, funnily enough, we both feel a lot better afterwards. Probably because we've both seen far worse and bring out the gallows humour that we had in the 70's and 90's.

Sometimes family can give you the perspective you can miss on your own.
