still makes me laugh.

Hi everyone. I posted in the introduce yourself thread but if you didn't see, hi I'm Amy, been a Spurs fan since I can remember.

I know things are way better than before but I still feel really on edge whenever I go to a game. I'm not trying to cause an argument or tension but some experiences I've had with some Spurs fans haven't been nice. Mostly I go with my Dad but on the occasions where I'm on my own I feel super uncomfortable.

Do any other girls have this experience? What do people think?
Welcome, it’s sad that your opening post was about feeling uncomfortable . No doubt there are some scumbags , law of averages says that has to be. Try not to let the Neanderthal element ruin your enjoyment of supporting your team .

Even as I typed that last sentence I was thinking that reads like it was written by a 63 year old man, ( which I am ) that does not have to worry about the indignity of being hassled and harassed by some boorish ignorant twat. My daughter used to come with me a lot to games , nobody has ever said anything but she has told me that she has had to suffer a few what she described as “Pervy stares”.
Hopefully one day such things will be consigned to the dustbin of history, but I fear not for a good while yer . Even well known 53 year old Spurs fan Wynne Evans has had to leave the Strictly Tour and his radio show for being a lecherous scumbag .

There are some really good female posters on here , no doubt they will have war stories of their own about running the gauntlet of unacceptable behaviour.

Anyway welcome Amy , let’s hope the season improves quicker than some men’s behaviour.
