Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Whilst Everton and Forest may have breached FFP regulations... I still can't get my head around why the likes of Chelsea and Man City, who have clearly BOUGHT their success, and Newcastle, who are clearly ABOUT to buy their success, aren't being investigated first, and more thoroughly...

I get that Man City already have charges against them, but it'll take years to come to any sort of punishment (if any) in all likelihood...

It's the Football equivalent of doping in Athletics or Cycling...

It's 100% financial doping... I just don't see how anyone with half a brain can't see it!

Are athletes excluded from competing whilst under investigation for doping? If so then shouldn’t the same rule apply to Chelsea/City?

Complexity. Man City is a complex case about lying and being dishonest in the books, Everton and Forest are just simple cases of spending too much.

It's like a murder trial taking longer to sort than a speeding ticket.

And all that’s fair when it comes to City (well, no not fair, but understandable!). Now do Chavs. Explain why they’ve basically admitted guilt and nothing has happened.

I believe due to a load more evidence coming up about off book payments to Conte, Hazard etc that Chelsea have not admitted to. Hence why it’s still under investigation and charges to be brought when done.

Edit: please read below on Chelsea.

We are 40/1 to win the league

Would a bookie still pay out of if City are docked say 20 points and we finish top by default?

I’ve backed us and City to be top 2 at 18/1, still seems generous

Chelsea are, by all accounts, happily telling the authorities of anything they find that happened under the Russian maffia.

That is probably going to be enough to get them leniency.

Depends on the crime. You could commit 10 murders and come clean, you still get a big sentence. It sounds like Chelsea have a similar number of charges as City coming for them so it’s very serious. Additionally there is new info that Boehly didn’t come clean with or didn’t know about from Abramovich’s era that are under investigation.

Absolutely cannot deny he has done an incredible job on the infrastructure and commercial side to get us in a position where we should be able to compete at the top. My view as I've mentioned a couple of times is that he is now out of excuses/reasons to try to translate the success off the field into success on the field. And he even appears to be getting support from the P&S regulations just at the right time as a nice little bonus.

It's not quite the same though. It's more like finding out your partner committed murders and grassing them up.

Boehly wasn't there committing the crimes and, possibly wouldn’t have purchased them if he knew what he'd find after the deal went through.

Charges sit against the club not the owner, the owner isn’t relevant to the whether Chelsea get charged and punished.

However Boehly coming clean on some issues rather than trying to hide it like City and Abramovich will obviously be a mitigating factor in any punishment.
