Yeah, it's only now that he comes out as a former employee of City and current City fan.

He'd been playing the unbiased, balanced, professional tone to build his following on twitter. No wonder he used his anonymous account.

Would be interesting to investigate who has been amplifying his posts and who might be funding any ad campaigns to boost his posts.

Smells a bit organized. Maybe he was always ridiculing the case against City and looking to diminish the public expectation of the charges being proven and I hadn't followed him for long enough to see it. But it would have probably have been harder to gain such a folllowing and reputation for being legit if he'd been doing that from the start.

In effect its the same argument as to why any big name company wants its name plastered on the stadium - they gain more world wide recognition as its worth a dollar value to them from increased sales to their customers or new customers, Problem is they are (allegedly) only offering 20m to spurs whereas the marketing value to them is a lot higher.

The whole argument about brand value etc is now an accepted concept, not a niche one, so whilst the precise value can be debated, the fact is that the TH brand being on tv does deliver healthy $ value now, and does so in the long term.

It might pay off for fans.
It also might just have the effect that fees and wages everywhere lower because selling clubs can no longer demand mind bending fees.
It doesn't mean we're suddenly going to be able to outspend everyone else. It may mean we can pay as much as they can afford. That doesn't mean we're guaranteed to get players ahead of them.

EDIT: and to add, it goes without saying that Jordan is a whopper, but watch Stefan start to squirm just past 8 minutes, when pressed on City’s refusal to cooperate and provide evidence. Just had a little look into his professional history. I know his type well. Qualified as a solicitor but clearly didn’t fancy the drudgery (can’t blame him for that) so went off to moonlight as an investment specialist and has allied himself to money. He positively reeks of the sort of self-promoting bollocks you need to make it in that world. He doesn’t sit at the top table. He just scratches around for the scraps. Importantly, I see no evidence of relevant sports experience, so not sure why he’s an expert.

His Twitter feed has comments like ‘I’ll let you speak to my agents / lawyers’, so he’s *that* sort of cunt.

Don't worry mate it won't work. The points deduction that was given Everton has done for them. The idea the burden of proof being too high on all 115 charges is frankly ludicrous. They like Chelsea have paid off the books to agents and sundry hangers on. The inflated sponsorship deals are if nothing else against the spirit of Psr and they are looking at the very least at transfer bans and points deductions. Not really, the stadium has been setup for a reason and that's to take advantage of the potential revenue streams, if the club didn't promote then it's not making money ergo less chance of putting those finances back onto the pitch.

What was going on on the pitch was totally independent to what happens off it even though they are effectively ran by the same company.
