From BBC:

Uefa fine Lazio 140,000 euros (£120,300) and threaten to make the Italian club play a European home match in an empty stadium after its fans' racist behaviour at Europa League matches against Tottenham and Maribor.
Uefa also fine Tottenham 10,000 euros (£8,590) and Maribor 17,000 euros (£14,608) for crowd disturbances at the same matches. The clubs can appeal all sanctions.

Right, so at least our fine is only a fraction of what Lazio got. We maybe had a few rowdy drunks - they organized an attack, stabbed a Spurs fan and injured several others, and carried on with blatant anti-Semitism. There really should be no comparison. Do you think it's worth appealing the fine on principle, or should we just pay up what's essentially a drop in the bucket for the club and let it go?

We could appeal it, but UEFA won't see reason. At the end of the day all these fines are just a token gesture to show that they've acknowledged the incidents, but out of reluctance to try to apportion blame correctly, everyone cops a fine and UEFA make themselves a few quid.

It's no surprise we've been fined what with all the trouble with the police in the stadium after the game. The only bit of that that bothers me is that Lazio have been "threatened" to have to play a game behind closed doors, which essentially means that it's not going to happen.

We all now that UEFA are a joke, but what do Lazio have to do to actually be banned from European competition altogether? They meet up with West Ham fans and sing about Mussolini, Hitler and make monkey noises at the Lane - then proceed to stab our innocent fans, antagonise our Jewish support and use racist chanting again at the Stadio Olimpico.

Our fine is a bit hefty when you consider what actually happened, but there was disturbances with the police at the away game so a fine can't be disputed.

It makes me sick that the likes of Lazio, Serbia, Croatia, West Ham etc can essentially get away with such things when a player like Bendtner gets fined 80k for a bit of advertising.

Absolute joke - how about a 2 year expulsion from Europe and forced to play behind closed doors afterwards

Make a precedent, this shit needs to stop! What is the point otherwise - pay up and it's ok? Clear your sins with money like in the middle ages

Why do people keep saying "they stabbed our fans"?

Do you think Spurs should be banned from Europe if the EDL or some other moronic far right group stabs foreign fans visiting London the night before a game?
