Match ****Frankfurt v Anges Blue & White Army **** 8pm Thursday 17th of April

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A completely unexpected but great performance last night. Thought they all did well and played as a team with some cohesion. Unfortunately I don't see it as a turning point but I just hope we can replicate that desire and workrate in the semi final.

As I remember it we used to have the best recovering the ball by pressing stats, at the beginning of the season. I'm not sure now. This in combination with sometimes hoofing it long can be effective. Long ball, press, win it back, create a chance.

Great win, just shows that if we have our starting back 5 playing together we will win matches.

Oh and I thought the ref was horrible, there was a moment last night where one of theirs went down and he allowed them to play on and when we had the ball he stopped the match, ridiculous refereeing.

I thought the ref in both legs was a bit of a cunt to us tbh.

We won. They had some chances, as you would expect, so let's not talk as though we completely sucked the life out of them.

They were at home and bullish, but we dealt with it, got the penalty (fair play to Solanke, who must have been feeling it), and then had a few chances ourselves.

The whole fcuking lot of them should he doing better than 15th, but here we are. Last night was back to 6 years ago..... sort of.

It doesn't take away all the pain, but as an analgesia, winning dulls the memory as well as numbs the body somewhat.

Onwards we go.

Watched it again without the haze of alcohol (or at least less of a haze) and it really was a fantastic, pragmatic away performance that we rightly had no grounds to expect. I mean honestly, given where we are and what we've witnessed of late, where on earth did that come from? If we can turn this miserable season (thus far) into something special I will genuinely forget everything to the point that I wouldn't even care who was here next season, just to have a taste of joy.

I'm also acutely aware of the chance there could be two North London themed European finals, so there is a chance for maximum pain or joy. Crumbs,
