Match ****Frankfurt v Anges Blue & White Army **** 8pm Thursday 17th of April

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Surely the useless oaf has to go after we get slipped a big greasy sausage in Germany?
Season is cooked. Manager is done. Levy still bean counting. What a time to be alive.
There's no way he can face the home crowd again once we're out on Thursday. That's the last bastion of hope for our season, we've just been schooled 4-2 by Wolves, our 17th loss in 32 games, we are well on course for our record number of premier league defeats, and maybe the only reason he should be allowed to finish the season is so that he can fully own the record of being the worst Tottenham manager in history.
A Monday night game vs Forest won't see a big tourist turnout so I think you will really hear the discontent from the fans if he is sat in the dugout having brought a defeat back from Germany. Suspect a fair few ST holders will turn up just to tell him to fuck off for 90 mins.

I did think we could win this competition but not winning the home leg is a massive blow. Ange admitted he had heard that he will get sacked even if he wins it. Now whilst that is probably going to happen it cuts his authority with the players and the fans are not fully supporting the team.
I will watch it with hope but we need a performance like the 2019 CL run to get through. No point holding anything back and I do not want to hear Ange saving any player back.Whilst it is probably too early to start Kula or Ritchie they must get on.
Not seen the 2nd half of todays match but if no injuries would play the following
Vic
Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie
Bentencur, Bergvale, Maddison
Tel, Solanke, Odebert if fit
We need speed up front and will be on the back foot a lot of the match and therefore I would not play Son but Johnson if Odebert is not fit.
We will need a lot of heart and even more luck to survive this match.
I was able to watch the game against Wolverhampton.
In the second half, I had the impression that Tottenham applied more pressure and played better.
Their comeback gave me confidence that at least a point would have been possible.

Too many mistakes led to the goals conceded, and so Tottenham ended up empty-handed.

But: This team (there shouldn't be a B team, because you have to be able to rely on every player) wasn't the best.
It's understandable that Ange left some players out to prevent injuries.

A different team will be on the pitch on Thursday.
The first leg was a clear sign to me that Eintracht Frankfurt aren't yet on par.
Tottenham were the better team! Tottenham clearly could have, even should have, won this game.

These terrible games, where you play for 14 days without scoring a decisive goal, happen all the time. The first leg was one of those games!

On April 17, Tottenham will send its best players to the Waldstadion, and Eintracht Frankfurt will have to give 150% from the first second to the last.

I'll be sitting in my seat, probably standing for the entire game, completely tense.

It will be a fast-paced, exciting game – the fans of both teams will be so loud that you won't be able to hear your own voice on the pitch, and the support of the organized Frankfurt fan scene will give Eintracht an additional boost!

Nevertheless! Tottenham will score the decisive goal – just like on March 17, 1982 – even without Glenn Hoddle and then play against Bodø/Glimt in the semifinals (fingers crossed for them).

With that in mind: Here's to a game where others (!) should also realize that neither Tottenham nor Eintracht are to be trifled with!

Welcome to Frankfurt, you Spurs!

I wish I had your faith but despite getting players back from injury we have not improved. Confidence is non existent both in the players and the fans.

I can't wait for Spurs V ManU final, 2 PL teams on top form, plenty of mistakes and goals. That will be fun, they should play it on a Sunday to match the occasion.
And guess what, place for the winner in the CL proper next season. If either teams win the EL means not only Spurs and ManU had a new low in the PL this season but football too.

Big 6 club.... haha.

One of the most undeserving titles ever bestowed upon us.

Not really.

If you knew your football history it would make a lot of sense. Once upon a time it was the big 5. And included Everton. They got ousted by Man City.

And we are still the 6th most successful English club in terms of total trophies won.

So actually we do currently deserve it.

Every chance we fall out of the big 6 over the next ten years then you moaning motherfucker types can be as happy as Larry and moan about something else.

All jokes aside, this should be the starting eleven:

Vicario
Spence Gray VDV Udogie
Kulusevksi Bergvall Maddison
Richy Solanke Tel

This is the only group of players I believe could bring a miracle together. No Son, Romero, Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr and Johnson from the start.

It really shouldnt. Romero has to start despite the weekend, Gray is not a CB, if Danso was fit then fine play Danso. Bentacur was excellent against Frankfurt and absolutely deserves a start. Richy cannot play on the right.

Just imagine finishing 17th and somehow qualifying for the CL.

And I do mean imagine it, coz it won't happen.

Can't work out if it would be peak Spursy or the most anti-spursy thing ever.

The thing about all the self-congratulationary neg-wanking going on, is that it's just a never-ending cycle until we eventually win things but I swear some people really believe that the more negative things they say and the more aggressive and vitriolic they are about it, the more likely we are to pressure the club into trying harder to win.

But unfortunately with Levy, I really don't think he works that way upstairs.
