Match ****Frankfurt v Anges Blue & White Army **** 8pm Thursday 17th of April

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It really shouldnt. Romero has to start despite the weekend, Gray is not a CB, if Danso was fit then fine play Danso. Bentacur was excellent against Frankfurt and absolutely deserves a start. Richy cannot play on the right.
Its just the starting eleven. I put Richy on the right because Tel is better on the left. Im okay with Bentancur starting as well, thats okay.

No way should Romero play. I know he is the only viable option on the right, but Romero doesnt give a single fuck. Hasnt made a difference since he is back.

To nuanced for you to include context, of course.
Still hitting your dog?

The thing about all the self-congratulationary neg-wanking going on, is that it's just a never-ending cycle until we eventually win things but I swear some people really believe that the more negative things they say and the more aggressive and vitriolic they are about it, the more likely we are to pressure the club into trying harder to win.

To be fair I think most people are just (understandably) venting. I know I don't expect my words to impact on anything Levy does or says. But sometimes it needs offloading.

I can't wait for Spurs V ManU final, 2 PL teams on top form, plenty of mistakes and goals. That will be fun, they should play it on a Sunday to match the occasion.
And guess what, place for the winner in the CL proper next season. If either teams win the EL means not only Spurs and ManU had a new low in the PL this season but football too.
Be an embarrassment for uefa if we and united both make it through to the final.

I'd be tempted to leave out Maddison for Sarr. He gets bullied in every away game. Its almost a certainty that he'll go missing in Germany on Thursday night. At least Sarr will get around and make his presence felt. Need to be physical there and almost play for a draw and hope to nick a win. Thats the only chance we have of going through.

Its stupid me even saying this anyway because Ange will just tell them to go there and attack. "Pretend your playing in the schoolyard" is probably his pre-match speech. Cue us being 2-0 down after 15 mins

Yes and make silly fouls leading to goals. The bottom line; we ain't playing well under Ange whichever XI he picks.

Can't work out if it would be peak Spursy or the most anti-spursy thing ever.

But unfortunately with Levy, I really don't think he works that way upstairs.

They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

So I think it’s become increasingly clear this is Daniel levy trying to run a successful trophy winning football club in 2025 in his 60s,

And as he heads towards his 70s god knows what he will do.
Maybe employ Sol Campbell as our first mentally disabled coach?

I'm going to be positive. We've rested Porro and VDV so we've got them fresh for Thursday night. Kulusevski played for a bit against Wolves which will hopefully make him ready to start on Thursday. I think we're due another good performance - we did ok in the first leg and if we can build on that I think we have a shot at going through.

To be honest, I actually feel more comfortable going into the second leg with a draw than with a narrow win as we did against Liverpool. Against Liverpool, we peaked too early and got complacent at Anfield. With this one, I think our best is yet to come.

Isn't the idea of venting that you feel better afterards and temporarily get back to some kind of balance before this club fucks you over again in the next match?

Yep. Usually helps me (a little at least).

Doesn't mean there isn't a little bit more venting that can be done. It's called a forum, mate. People can vent if they want. You're free to keep on scrolling / use the ignore button etc.

The only way I can see us winning this is for the players to come together and do what suits them best, ignoring what Ange says to them. I have a suspicion that they have already done this in games where we weren’t so gung ho and they put in a better team performance.

It is now down to the players to win this competition as I believe they have lost all respect for the manager. Winning this trophy will get the monkey off our back and give the players a winners medal and a CL spot, which they tell us is why they play.
It will require an inordinate amount of courage, self sacrifice and pain, but they will have their own ‘glory, glory night’ on a foreign field which will forever be a part of them.

It must begin on Thursday, it must carry them through the wreckage of this season, they must get back their self respect and they must above all, remember the history of the shirt that they have borrowed from us, the fans.
Can they do it? of course they can. Will they do it? Well that is entirely a matter for them.

All of Europe is watching, there is no hiding place, no tomorrows.

As Spartan mothers used to tell their sons before going into battle, ’come back with your shield, or on it.'

Mine eyes have seen the glory. . . COYL!
