Match ****Frankfurt v Anges Blue & White Army **** 8pm Thursday 17th of April

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If history is any guide, Postecoglou will demand his players "silence the crowd". This means attacking (recklessly) from the off, leaving us wide open to be 1-0 down inside the first 10 minutes, then chasing the game and getting done on the counter, multiple times.

I'd like to see some common sense, absorb the early game adrenalin-fuelled opposition pressure, keep it tight, conserve energy. Go 0-0 at half time. Then come out with a second half blitzkrieg.

OTOH if the players CBF'ed, and put in another Anfield performace then they don't deserve to wear the shirt.

This is the whole problem with Ange. We are never setup to approach away games the correct way. Keep it tight and compact for first 20 mins. Drain the crowd. Tie your shoe laces at every throw in. Common sense approach. Queiten the place down. Then grow into the game from there.

But no, we'll be playing it across our own goal and baiting their high press while their crowd is at their loudest. We'll be 2-0 down within in 20 mins.

Ahh. Airfixx Airfixx , me old Muckamore. Long time no see. :adesalute:

Are you still a big Levy fan, mate?
Still bangin' the "Levy In" drum?
Still think he's doing a great job with "success on the pitch and winning silverware " his prime, motivation as we languish in 15th position below Brentford and Bournemouth.

How about Postecoglou. Still think he was a fantastic appointment that would be the envy of our biggest rivals?

I also notice you've changed your catchy custom title...."death to petro murder ball cheats unless they stop Woolwich winning the title"

Fair play mate. That was pure class :sonlol:

JT: Poster has a different opinion so I’ll just bully him cause that’s cool.

But you were a big Ange in supporter who defended his ‘tactics’?

If I could say anything to the players it would be this.

Forget everything that you think is important going on at the moment in football. The only thing that you should be thinking about is winning this thing. For some of you this chance may never come around again.

When you are invited as a special guest with the Grandkids to the opening of the new Spurs Stadium. None will talk about or probably even remember the shit that went on this year.

All the free drinks, back slapping, handshakes, and cheers will be about that one heroic night in Spain when you were a part of breaking the clubs drought of winning the first important trophy 25 years into a new century.

Spurs players have everything to play for! Any that dont believe that shouldn't be playing competitive professional sport.
Ange has told you...
Shortened it for you.

It's too binary at this stage which of course is part of the problem.

Lose and that's sh!t and win and its okay, blah blah blah. I think it should be a bit more than that.

I just want to see or not see 3 or 4 things.

1. No concession of a goal in the first 20 minutes.
2. No stupid giveaways, so some accuracy of passing and solidity.
3. Attacking intent.
4. Tactical awareness, from right timing of subs,to in-game formation changes if warranted.

See all that and lose, because the opposition has clearly had to work hard but have just been so so good, and then, you know it's beaten by a superior outfit.

Too often, this season we have been too easily beaten by our shadow and wholesale ineptitude.

You might need access to a genie.

We’d all want this:

A quarter final in a European competition which we should have a great chance of winning on paper. The result from the first leg wasn't ideal but we're definitely in it still. I should feel nervous, excited or at least something about it, but I just feel a bit "meh". Guess that's what 17 league losses and counting while playing absolutely horrendously more often than not does to you.
