I want him gone asap but I can’t wait for the game tomorrow night and will be delighted if we can pull it off!

COYS

agree.

you can be angry, you can bitter or indifferent about the team and the manager but when it comes to the chance to get to a European semi final tomorrow night there's no chance you can feel no excitement, or nervousness when kick off time comes around. That's just the life of a football supporter. anything else is just pretense

Convinced that the right approach here is to setup pragmatic and grow into the game. The 2 changes from last week's team which helps us become more pragmatic is Sarr starting ahead of Maddison and Kulusevski starting wide ahead of Johnson. Both offer way more legs and defensive actions compared to Madders and Brennan. Also if we do find ourselves behind and needing a goal then aren't you delighted to have Madders and Brennan to come on?

Spence has been poor lately. Nobody wants to talk about it but he's doing just as much daft stuff as Porro/Udogie. He is literally trying to dribble out from the back nearly every time. I really don't mind which 2 of them 3 fullbacks we start but makes sense to play the freshest two. Tel could easily start over Son but I'd play your captain here and hope he offers more. Solanke is lucky to start but think Richarlison will offer more off the bench with 20 to go. I think this is the team that can win. However I reckon Ange just starts Maddison and Brennan and we find ourselves 2-0 down after 20 mins...

It's really odd the more one ponders it.

We have a nearly fully fit squad, something we have barely had all season.

You would think that had to translate into having our game-changers and options, ready to take this game by the scruff of the neck. No chance or at least, it's hard to pinpoint one player who we as fans can look to, and maybe worse, is that neither do the squad.

There used to be Kane of course, and Son to an extent, and for a couple of years Alli could just do everything and anything.

A void is there to be filled.

Nothing wrong with the thought process behind this.

The problem however is that it presumes performances that ensure solidity in that opening period, and then the ability to capitalise on frustration and opposition tiredness.

I think it is quite an indictment on Solanke that he only starts because Richarlison probably hasn't got 90 minutes in him. I suspect that's also why Kulusevski won't start, but I don't think a pragmatic midfield 5 with Sarr and Maddison, but with Johnson the bench would be the worst option.
