Match ****Frankfurt v Anges Blue & White Army **** 8pm Thursday 17th of April

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Any Kind of win will do tonight, I just wish we had a team that got it like the fans do, I just don't think this crop of players do, they were probably all wanting the goons to win last night
Thing is, even before they sign on the dotted line, players know it's okay to lose games at Spurs, that it's really no drama. You end up losing 10-15 across all comps each & every season? That's okay lads, don't sweat it.

Heck...Hugo, Dier, Davies, Harry...they must have got 100 defeats during their time at the club. But hey they got a nice watch for making the CL final.

You go to City, Liverpool, Woolwich, Chelsea, Bayern, Real, Barca, PSG, Inter, Juve...proper big clubs with genuine ambition...losing ONE game or finishing 2nd is a cardinal sin. So guess what, players give 110% all the time, they go that extra mile...and pretty much year in year out they bag silverware.

Levy talks the talk, but we all know he can't walk no line. Til we have owners and directors who are obsessed with winning, who vomit at the mere mention of the D-word...we'll go nowhere.

Poch knew it. Harry, Jose & Antonio voiced it.

think our big strength over Frankfurt is that we can change half the team later in the match without really dropping quality too much, could be a vital weapon. But this kinda change can't happen with 12 minutes to go:angesmile2:

Kulu
Odobert/Tel
Sarr
Spence
Richie

Frankfurt not got quite the same capability

Subs don't drop the quality when the first XI is also a bit crap

The season thus far has been shit. And no matter what it will end a very ordinary one to say the least.

All I can hope for is that the players put it all to one side and find something. If for nothing else except personal pride and future memories.

The players are better than this season. The team is better than this season. The club is better than this season. Something needs to start and this game should be the fuel to start something.

Someone, somewhere needs to stand up and ignite everyone. There's always reasons and excuses why a team doesn't win. Sometimes very good reasons and excuses. The funny thing is that in the future none give a flying for any of them.

You either won things in your career or you didn't.

That's the cold hard truth and I hope these players realise that.

On to victory fellas!

With the 11 we're likely to name I would be cautiously optimistic if it were not for the fact that we always concede. We never win against a decent opponent if they score. We don't have more than 1 goal in us most of the time against a quality opponent.

We responded well in the second half last week, teams seemed to be evenly matched for the most part, but again one goal meant we fail to win.

Nonsense.

Bang on.

Spurs is either a pleasant, low-pressure stepping stone for young talent to get game time at a "big club" (Bergvall/Gray) or a cushty semi-retirement home for the unambitious (Davies/Son).

The change can only come from the top.

It is incredibly unlikely that we strike gold again like we did under Poch with that manager and group that wanted to achieve in spite of Levy. Even then it wasn't enough.

Super post. Absolutely.

Players and managers want to be the best they can, and winning something or setting records proves the point.

Some people are just posting complete sh!t at present.

If we lose tonight, we lose. It's not about the owners, other than maybe blaming them for maybe the manager they appoint, or the scouting that fails to deliver the right players at the right time.

But the notion that Levy and co would not want to make even more money, by having a successful club is just bonkers. Success generates phenomenal income.

People are disappearing into the fcuking galaxy of bo!!ocks too often.

Today's a public holiday here as part of Easter Week, Jueves Santo. Question is, will it be Holy Thursday or our Last Supper?

I've just read that they wear those pointy hat/masks so as not to draw attention to themselves as penitents, but to leave all the attention to God.

Seems like a crap way of not drawing attention to yourself. I made one and wore it in Hoddesdon - loads of people pointed at me and a copper forced me to take it off.

So we can't blame the owners except for their recruitment of the manager and the players at the club. So if we lose it's ultimately Levy's fault. I fully agree. 🤩

No but of course, yes, n a sense, if anything but success (however assessed) is seen that way, but it's going too far.

Most clubs don't win so....?

It's sh!t at present but let's not see every single failure on the pitch as a result of Levy and ENIC.

There is responsibility on managers and players and thos group are not or should not be the 15th worst in the PL, or expected to be dumped out tonight.

Yeah, I have no doubt that we will score but we will concede at least once; this needing to outscore the opponent madness has caught up with us.
