Match Fulham (H) - 29/11 - 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

See my post above. Our subs did have an affect. I’m not a fan of Frank either, and I think he should have started with shape/personnel more like we finished, because it would’ve been harder for Fulham to counter that or react from the get go.

But they did help us temporarily.
Yeah... I was surprised he went with the 2 up top system again right off the bat. Home against a team like Fulham I'm not sure you want to create chaos.

Thought he should've gone with the 4-2-3-1 with Muani up top then reverted to the chaos-ball if we went behind, rather than the opposite. We should be able to beat a team like Fulham by playing football, rather than the pure pressing and energy we displayed against PSG.

I still think the manager is by far the single most important part of the puzzle. Countless examples where a good manager takes over a squad that looks absolutely shite and suddenly they start performing, players raise their levels. And the opposite when a bad manager is in charge.

To be truly successful obviously you also need good players, a good infrastructure, and, usually, a bit of luck.

But right now by far our best hope of any kind of positive growth is picking the right manager who can get the most out of this group of players imo.
Dyche has quickly cleaned up the mess Ange couldn’t at forest

In my opinion there's nothing more cringe than couch potato fans attacking paying, bona-fide match going fans. Especially on a Saturday night.
Fuck off
Funny that, because in my opinion, there's nothing worse than disingenuous cunts who hate everything about the club and never support it or celebrate anything that goes well, and seem to delight in everything that goes wrong, criticising actual fans who, you know, want the fanbase to do things that won't make things even worse for the club and its players. Would be awesome if those cunts would fuck off once and for all.

Yeah perfect example and honestly there are so, so many others. Tons at Spurs alone (Conte post Nuno, Redknapp post Ramos, Poch's rise).

Gerrard made Villa look like utter shite and with barely any changes to the squad Emre got them into the Champions League. Most people would've said that Villa squad was utter wank and needed a complete revamp when they were sat in 17th or wherever.

If you're a badly run club the best hope you have of success is striking lucky on a manager. Hell, look at Palace's complete transformation under Glasner. Unbelievable stuff.

Porro has really struggled under Frank. He was a massive attacking threat in previous seasons and reasonable in defence. Now he doesn't offer much in attack and is struggling in Frank's defensive structure (or lack of structure)

Agree- he looks for the long ball or the fancy pass far too often. The squad as a whole is suffering from lack of recognition or discipline to make optimal plays, and we are suffering for it. Porro is clearly a bit of a wild pistol and needs to be kept on a short tactical leash to ensure he's using his full frontal lobe when on the pitch.

bus-conductor bus-conductor will you now concede that any configuration in MF is not the solution with this group of players?
We have tried every combinantion possible with the players available in midfield.

And the only time it has looked solid was the first 4-5 games. When we played Palhinha-Bentancur-Sarr.

One can think whatever they want about them individually, but it looked solid.

The first 6 mins were shit but we were playing Fulham at home and to only get 1 goal was equally bad. Most on here we’re pleased with the team picked but when you are not playing regularly or have been injured you cannot play 2 matches a week and playing both Gray & Bergvale again was a mistake. Simmons has not started the last 3 matches and nor has Tel. The best starting 11 is not always who played well the previous game but who has most energy because they are rested.
I am more pissed we lost that than previous 2 matches as we should be beating Fulham. How do we build confidence at home?
I have moved from give Frank the season to neutral whether he goes or stays. Depends who is available as an option. Whilst Ange had more injury problems there was always the feeling we could win the Europa. This season we only realistically have the FACup that we have not won for 35 years.

Some of our early positive results may have been due to a manager bounce. Either way we are in free fall now, Frank's fate seems inevitable considering our performances and home form.
