We had a good ten minutes but now the players just seemed to have given up again.

No impetus to get forward, always looking for a backwards pass, rolling around on the floor after a challenge instead of jumping up and trying to get in with it.

Silva’s subs specifically targeted the changes we’d made and nullified them. He clogged up the wide areas, particularly the right to stop that flow/threat from Kudus/Porro which was causing them problems.
