Think you must be confused old bean

I've been one of Ange's most staunchest supporters

And I'm all about the positivity

I reckon you must have confused me with Billy Bob mate Billy Bob mate

He's a right negative nancy

I would like to confirm a Mr D Funk is a fully paid up member of the A Way Of Ange community. With a lifelong Platinum Koala membership.

But I can’t due to Data Protection.

I also can’t confirm if he’s due to give a 5 min presentation on how utilising the Postecoglou mindset has not only improved his sex life but grown his bank balance by double digits in the last 12 months.

One of our most positive and proactive members. Allegedly.

Yes, you used a better gif to describe yourself. :dierno:

Disappointing result, but it could have been much worse. We only lost by one goal when it could have easily been a lot more. It was always going to be our toughest challenge I think as the stadium is horrible to play in for the visiting team and with the changes being made to the team I don’t think our guys gel on the field completely. We’re still a young inexperienced squad.
Lessons to be learned for sure, but there’s no need for a:sonpoint: meltdown, we just need to move on.
Good grief, another sensible post - what's this forum coming to??

5 mins being a very apt amount of time for that presentation. 4 mins left over for Q/A and feedback

In terms of the bank balance , when I sit down , one bum cheek is considerably higher than the other because my wallet is so stuffed

The team out there wasn't weak.

Depends how you define weak.

We had a 36 year old in goal who hasn't started a Premier League game since May 2023 and was making his 3rd start since then. And probably doesn't even get in the Galatasaray team.

An 18 year old midfielder at left back who's never started a Premier League game.

A third and fourth choice centre back pairing that were starting just their 3rd game together and are scared of having the ball. Up against one of the best strikers in Europe over the last few years...

An 18 year old in central midfield, who again, probably doesn't even get in the Galatasaray team. Another who's never started a Premier League game. And our 6th choice in that position.

A 19 year old striker who also hasn't started a Premier League game. And only started because our back up striker is injured..

So that's 6 players I've named there. Three teenagers who have 0 combined Premier League starts between them.

It's about as weak as we could have fielded without fully taking the piss.

that was a strong line up that shouldn't have got ripped apart like it did.

It was stronger than we had any right putting out considering we have a more important fixture at the weekend.

Losing away to Galatasaray isn't necessarily the issue, it's a tough place to go.

You're right.

Forster, Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Maddison, Bissouma, Son, Johnson all started. All are expreienced enough players

Sure, in isolation and on paper.

But throwing it together and expecting it to be fluid and a seamless transition to our strongest possible line up was silly.

But Forster is no Vicario on the ball and Dragusin and Davies treat the ball like a bomb. So yes, you've got three experienced enough players but you've also gone from being one of the best teams in Europe in build up (Vicario, Romero, VDV) to arguably one of the worst we've seen at Spurs.

Gray, Lankshear and Bergvall are some of the best prospects in the country.

Prospects.

Neither have started a game at the top level or even started a competitive game against a team the calibre of Galatasaray before. And thats saying something.

I'm pleased all three got minutes, it's great for their development at their age. But they only started due to injuries, squad registration issues or because the starters, who are lightyear better, are being rested.

No matter how it gets dressed up that performance was worrying.

So dramatic 😂😂

There was nothing about that performance that was worrying outside of what we all knew going in

- We need a better back up goalkeeper
- We should have a registered Spence
- We need a left sided centre back
- We need left back depth
- Dragusin cannot play football
- Our kids are talented, but are also kids.

It was no surprise that even with 10 men when we got some first team players on, we looked much better.

Ah yes I guess there's a fine line between those who think the manager is a useless cunt and those who think Levy will ensure any manager is a useless cunt and I've blurred that with some folk. Apologies
It can be both.
ETH won two cups at United despite being useless. Probably because he had players to get him over the line.
Poch won fuck all at Spurs despite us having our best team since at least the 80's but just not quite enough of them at any given time.

What we have now is a coach who probably isn't good enough to get us where the fans and the hierarchy want us to be and a chairman who probably won't give him the tools as a result. That'll only end one way and it'll end sooner rather than later probably.
