He's world class, he's a winner, and he's Spurs through and though.
Disagree: If he comes back it will be to us- He has unfinished business and Levy has first right of refusal as well. The Holy grail is to win the Premier League and those that help to do that will be huge legends forever....apart from supporting Woolwich in his youth. Not that it mattered (clearly) but if he comes back then it's because we offer the best deal/opportunity. I reckon it'll be Man U and 350k a week...

Box A pls.Box A) Bale + wages
Box B) £150m net spend on 2-3 players in our weakest areas
???
Seem to recall the deal is; if RM receive a bid, we’re given the opportunity to equal the bid, and they’d have to accept ours.Well, I hope so. He seemed to have a lot of affection for the club, and despite the usual transfer negotiation shenanigans, only started being a bit of a dick when forced into a corner.
No idea whether that first refusal is real, but it seems unlikely that it would mean anything other than Spurs being notified if a bid is accepted.
How many of you still think Bale's on his way now that you've sobered up?
Box A pls.
2-3 players could easily not work out and we have no massive gaps in the first team. Bale will absolutely make a huge impact.
Imagine an attack with Kane, Bale, Dele, and Eriksen.

We can but dream.
It would be my biggest fantasy signing since Jurgen returned but I can't see it happening. First the money. He'd be on double most of our top players. Whilst you can argue that his trophy record justifies this, I can't see Danny boy going for that.
Second, he's clearly hugely ambitious. Just scored the goal of his life in a CL final for the worlds biggest team and has the nuts to put pressure on the management straight after. He doesn't strike me as the kid of bloke who takes backward steps in his career. Not necessarily in terms of the quality of the team, but literally going back to an old club. He probably wants a totally new challenge.
That said, if we do sign him I'm naming my first child Gareth.
Most people would use the term ‘daughter’
