Ex-Spurs Player Gareth Bale

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

...apart from supporting Woolwich in his youth. Not that it mattered (clearly) but if he comes back then it's because we offer the best deal/opportunity. I reckon it'll be Man U and 350k a week...
Disagree: If he comes back it will be to us- He has unfinished business and Levy has first right of refusal as well. The Holy grail is to win the Premier League and those that help to do that will be huge legends forever.

We should move Heaven and Earth to get him. Hope we at least are in the running, he might still have affection for us and decide on a real challenge than joining another guaranteed trophies club.
Obviously money is the main thing and this is where will will get done on. The loan thing someone mentioned sounded like our best chance as at least Madrid would pick up some of his wages?
Not sure now whether a loan is viable or even on the table.
Players with his experience and skill level are what we need in order to get us over the finish line and win something.
He is a monster, him and Kane would be ridiculous together, Eriksen, Dele, Lucas, Son supplying the bullets omfg.

Hope sure is cruel though. She can be such a bitch. :memeokay:

Ask the dippers hahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahhahhahaahha

Well, I hope so. He seemed to have a lot of affection for the club, and despite the usual transfer negotiation shenanigans, only started being a bit of a dick when forced into a corner.

No idea whether that first refusal is real, but it seems unlikely that it would mean anything other than Spurs being notified if a bid is accepted.

I never put too much into the way players appear to behave when leaving a club. They're likely, when a sale is all but made, to be under instruction to stay away, which appears to us to be a form of protest. Rumours then reported as fact... I just ignore pretty much all of that.

Also we can't resent his decision to make that move away - we weren't even at the level we're at today, Madrid is still a real step up from us now. He's contributed to, not just won, four Champions Leagues out there.

I have no ill feelings towards Bale whatsoever.

Seem to recall the deal is; if RM receive a bid, we’re given the opportunity to equal the bid, and they’d have to accept ours.

Don’t what would happen if RM accepted our bid, but Bale rejected - would just force a bidding war I guess.

How many of you still think Bale's on his way now that you've sobered up?

Bale wants to play regular football and enjoy it

I'm not just saying it because its clichéd but this under mourinho?

I think he could easily foresee trouble with Jose especially as he has the same agent as Shaw

Compare that with the opportunity to work under a vibrant dynamic coach like Poch and it's not obviously yanited any longer

Last night couldn’t help but remember the 3 dickwads who used to sit in front of me lower east.

A real reminder that often we may support the same club but that’s where any similarity ends.

Moaning old season ticket holder twats who are probably still moaning at Dele, Harry, anybody or just who wears a lilywhite shirt.

But every match calling Bale a pussy, you will never make it, you’re fucking useless.
Literally as he was yards away taking throw ins. He would have heard every word.
“Fans” like them make it easy for players to leave football clubs IMO.

So fair play to that young man who grew into the footballer he is today. Took some dogs abuse when he was really still a kid.

Best thing is they hated his hairstyle then. Fuck knows what they must think of it now.

It would be my biggest fantasy signing since Jurgen returned but I can't see it happening. First the money. He'd be on double most of our top players. Whilst you can argue that his trophy record justifies this, I can't see Danny boy going for that.
Second, he's clearly hugely ambitious. Just scored the goal of his life in a CL final for the worlds biggest team and has the nuts to put pressure on the management straight after. He doesn't strike me as the kid of bloke who takes backward steps in his career. Not necessarily in terms of the quality of the team, but literally going back to an old club. He probably wants a totally new challenge.

That said, if we do sign him I'm naming my first child Gareth.

Might be a bit weird if your first child has a vagina !
