Some of the saves this guy is pulling off are just insane. There's not many shot stoppers like him.
Yes, he's lanky like a spider and he can't do much when big dudes barge into him at corners and that's where our defenders need to help.
This guy can become the best keeper in the world and I think the biggest clubs are looking at him with great interest.
yea shot stopping has never been the problem. its commanding his box and his kicking that has. yesterday he looked solid and assured with the ball coming in thr box and his kicking looked far more confident.
he needs to continue this to be considered a real top keeper. this should do wonders for his confidence though now.
Whoever chose that thumbnail is a grade A shithouse though.......... Makes it look like a dodgy spill when it was in fact decisive box-work.
He is a terrific GK and seems to thrive to the highest standards when he has that confidence about him.
He definitely has great leadership skills and should be considered a future captain ahead of Son and Romero.
I think given the captains armband it will actually make him a better player (removing that inconsistency in his game from set pieces)
You can see he definitely is a confident person in general and doesnt hide away making him a senior role model in the squad would take up his time on/off the field making the biggest and best decisions for the club and his team mates which can only further improve his overall decision making.

I agree with you but have no clue who could be brought in to really push Vic any ideas?
I noticed a few times early on versus City they blocked him during their corners, obviously it didn't lead to a goal but we really need to get on top of this , I did noticed later on in the game Dragusin was protecting him , maybe its PTSD from past games but I'm always so nervous we are going to concede on a corner as the Oppo players get free reign to rugby tackle our keeper!

he just needs to maintain his confidence and remain calm and focused and he'll come through all the targetting he has been getting
Or he needs to jump for the ball , collect it but at the same time clatter the oppo player trying to hug him, a knee to the bollox should do it, granted the ref will probably give a pen so we are fucked either way!

Not sure, it's difficult because no-one decent gonna come here to sit on the bench and we're not going to buy someone as good as him anytime soon to takeover his spot.
