I had a strangulated inguinal hernia that caused testicular infarction - strangled my balls and stopped the blood flowing around my whole body - was 30 mins away from losing my balls, 60 mins away from death.
If this is the case it's actually good planning by the club to get this out the way now, he can rest and recover over the intl break so he misses a couple of matches and he can go to the WC injury free.
