Player Guglielmo Vicario

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Not really fair. Raya is good but not Rice level. Rice is one of the best 3 midfielders of his type in the world. Raya is maybe pushing top 10-15 keepers.

A better one imo would be Zubimendi or Raya, and I would probably say Raya.

Okay. To be "fair" - Rice or your choice of Goal keeper in the world?

Really tough one to be honest. Courtois would be super transformative for our backline. But you know how much I rate Rice so probably him.*
But Vicario has been so calamitous.

*Driving force and runaway POTS for league and CL leaders, POTS last season for club, CL TOTS too. Headed for 3 seasons in a row of PL TOTY. Only BC could doubt how good he is.

It's Rice mate.

Or Vitinha.

Or even Wharton.

We have a problem in goal. We have an absolute calamity in CM.

Anybody got the tally for the points he's directly contributed in us dropping in the past two seasons?

Its gotta be some kind of record.

If you dare boo him though....
How Dare You Greta GIF

I would take him in a heartbeat.

I wonder how things would have played out if we'd gone in for him rather than MGW on a "trigger clause" in summer...

Probably be a bit better but ultimately one player won’t transform this mess ..I said it when we signed him but that Palhinha signing epitomises us - opportunistic stop gap shite. He’s so limited.

Fans got convinced by a purple patch and some tackles.

Don’t make that permanent and we need 2 cms, so yeah .. situation is fucking bleak.

Totally agree with you Phoemsey

Middle term we need to improve on Vicario.

But he is not the priority for this season.

In my view we only have about 2 or 3 players that are even Top 6 of the League quality.

People say we should replace as other Top 6 teams wouldn’t have, well news we are a mid table at best club, with a team full of plain average players for the league we are in,

Even today against Forest I am thinking would swap our whole midfield for theirs, and that happens regularly, and our attacking options are weak.
Keeper needs replacing, but 4 or 5 positions need improving as higher priority

It's crazy that he isn't one of the first out the door. He costs us goals every week. It's insane to have a keeper who actually costs you goals.

If we don't upgrade on him urgently, we will continue to be a joke of a side.

If he is still starting for us next season, it will tell us all about the ambition and actual competency of the club.

He needs to be replaced ASAP, he is a fucking idiot.

Exactly. I'd also argue that IF we got in true passing quality in midfield - Wharton/Vitinha types - THEN we could probably risk Kinski in goal because his ability on the ball would outweigh his current weakness in shot stopping.

But spunking 50--80 million to upgrade Vic without sorting midfield first? Exactly the type of deranged thinking that got us into this mess in the first place.

Lol blaming Vic for the first goal
Explain to me how many more times this season Vic is going to play a pass into the feet of a player with his back to goal and a man right up his arse and it cost us a goal BEFORE he wakes up and realises its too risky?

If it were me I would make that mistake maybe once or twice. And something would trigger in my head thats its risky and its fucking dumb. He did it just the other fucking week against PSG with a wankhorn pass into Romero that cost us a goal...

He has the football IQ of a cube of rowntrees Lemon Jelly.

I'm not saying that Gray didn't contribute with his extra touch, but if you can't play out of the back competently Don't fucking do it....

And yeah I'm aware that they are being coached to play out of the back but when you can see the guy has a man up his arse, just don't risk it.
Just lump it!

Best case scenario is Gray turns it around the corner to VDV or Porro who aimlessly lump it anyway... so its just needless.

But he was cheap and surely that is the most important metric

This is manager instruction and if you watch other teams play their goalies do the same thing, it's not exclusive to us.
