Player Guglielmo Vicario

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Look where Romero is - That's a first time pass every top level footballer should be able to pull off even on their weaker foot - the reality is that he mis controlled the football (it happens)

If he's given the exact same pass again Gray 99/100 Gray gets out of that situation, he just dealt with the pass poorly.

ok

Nothing I've written about Vicario is factually wrong. It's not a "defence" - it's reality. As I've consistently said I'm happy to upgrade once we've sorted our bigger problems.

Now run along, love. the adults are talking.
Ah riiight - I was being polite, but I see that's not how you do discussion, because you're an uncouth fool.

Your persistent defence of Vicario (its' there for all to see) and the weasely way you're now trying to pretend that's not what it's been, has been shown to be wrong time and time again. Now that you're finally having to admit that he's not good enough you're trying to squirm your way into the other camp, like the spineless worm that you are. You're not an adult, you're a tiny child with a mentality and the emotional intelligence to match.

Don't respond to me again, you idiot.

not when they can't scan...

Huh? You don't need to scan in that situation, it's literally a rehearsed move, the next pass is either of your centre backs or back to the keeper.

How are you meant to take the ball facing the other way if you're showing for the ball running towards your own goal? lol

We've literally been doing this ALL season, it's a feature in modern football - literally every club does this now, have you guys actually been paying attention?

Please show me once where I've been wrong? Quote function is very easy to use. As is making a basic argument that you're prepared to defend.

And "polite" people don't just tell others to "stop" - at least not without making a coherent argument first.

But thanks for your input. It's been enlightening.

Fuck off child.

Read what i wrote fully don't be a prick for the sake of it...

I did read what you wrote. And I'm not being a prick for the sake of it. What you wrote literally doesn't make any sense. 🤷‍♂️

It's a basic triangle that falls down because Archie takes a touch from an (admittedly) not fantastic ball (but no worse than anyone else had to deal with today).

It's an error. By Archie. He'll learn from it.

Vic was at fault for the second goal. He's less likely to learn from it.

Missing the point...AG while coming forward didn't see his presser Vic did, he's senior AG ISNT.

He had better options as Vic can scan before AG...this my point...ffs..

go and watch the pass back, he has to take a touch, its to his left foot and bobbles along to him. its a dog shit pass from a cunt with clown feet, you get that a lot from cunts with clown feet. shitty bobbled passes that arent even accurate and timed well.

if youre going to play that triangle, you need to pass it crisply to the player whos coming to yous right foot, if its bobbling along the grass and going to their left foot, its almost impossible for them to play it first time with their right foot, the only way they can do this is if they gamble that you are going to play a shitty bobbled pass to their weak foot.
I’d want that played to my left side in that position. Easier to play that ball around the corner in the space to Romero then. Would be harder to handle and harder for a first time pass on his right as that would square him up even more. Only pass first time available is back to the keeper then. The pass was fine he he should be more side on receiving that anyway but still should of dealt with it better

Oh come on!

You’ve been defending the indefensible all season under the banner ‘shot stopping is the most important part of goalkeeping!’

No I get your point but I think you're missing the point as to why we play this pass and why this move is so popular in football - that simple pass from the Keeper to the DM allows us to beat the opponents press, when you say 'better options' you're talking about Romero and VDV but this doesn't do anything for us in getting out the press, all that does it allowing them time to get in their defensive shape.

If Gray gets that right he's drawn Sangare out of midfield and we have an overload in that position to get us up the pitch.

It's almost like Vic's boots are too big for him, the way his feet seem to flap about when he's taking a few touches of the ball. I've also likened his technique to that of one wearing clown shoes.

It is 🤷‍♂️

What you're describing as "defending the indefensible" is simply me saying that he's not our biggest problem. Not even fucking close. I'd love for Kinski to come in but the kid can't save shit.

I'll say it in CAPS so maybe those who struggle with basic comprehension skills can understand

SELL VICARIO THE SECOND WE SORT OUR FUCKING MIDFIELD OUT

And not a moment before.

It really is not a controversial take - unless you're so permanently angry about everything that you lose all common sense. Which describes a hell of a lot of people on here tbf :D

I know why - I said better not only or even good...

AG could never had got it right hence my premise, came in too fast to receive not noticing the opponent closing but Vic did see both hence why it was a bad play...

Of course midfield and attack need upgrading too, but this bozo is regularly giving up simple goals.

you expect gray to play a pass first time with his right in that position? the ball is over to his left which is why he even takes a touch in the first place, plus its bobbling along as vicario is an absolute donkey who cant even play a 7 yard pass crisply.

with the pass vicario gave him he can only play it with his left first time, very awkward angle to play the pass with his left foot there, especially with the chance of the ball bouncing just before you make contact.

its an easy pass to romero if its clean along the floor to his right foot.

Bro come on, it's just a simple mis control - if he gets a ball like that again he handles it properly in his sleep

It's not even that deep - this isn't on the keeper, the 2nd goal however is.

Gray also points that way. This was more on Vic than Gray.

I get you now! this I agree with AG's inexperienced move towards to receive should have been better...he was completely blind to tackle.

But for me I can't fault inexperience as Vic should've done better & agree Viccy boy has done dumber shit he's proved he can't learn...

I think this comes to 'fault' & 'blame' - I blame Viccy boy for misjudging it more...I aint no AG defender btw I think he aint all that from what I've seen...

hes a flat footed donkey, this shit will always happen if youre trying to get someone like that to actually execute little technical passes, it doesnt matter that they are short, as youve seen today, cant even play a clean pass to a team mate 7 yards away along the floor without it bobbling all over the place and 3 yards away from where it should be...and thats over 7 yards,.
