Player Guglielmo Vicario

i disagree. if you want it ultimately going to romero there you roll it into his right and he cuts it with the instep of his right foot and curl it into his path. left foot you have to turn and open up your body wall pass it while exposing yourself to the defender
Not for me at all. In that position I’m wanting that on my left side all day. It depends on the pace of the pass as well and what’s around you but the angle that pass would be coming onto his right would completely close his body up, that’s when you’d get a wall pass. Atleast on the left it opens your body up to play that pass or take it on the turn yourself. Even so he still had time to take a touch but dawdles for a split second after it. I’m not a fan of Vicario but that is mainly on gray.

youd want it on your left even tho you have someone steaming into you? how are you playing it to romero if the ball is over to your left? the ball has to be played first time, its literally impossible to play that first time with his left foot, the angle is fucked.

Yes I’d want that more on my left. Doesn’t mean you have to play it with your left and I don’t think you absolutely have to play it first time, Use the angle of the ball to play on the turn first time or otherwise. You can still use your body to protect the ball. he’s got five yards on him when the balls played. grey doesn’t get set which is the biggest problem so I think he’s taking a touch with whatever foot it gets played too.

id love to watch you deal with that pass lol

I haven't seen it (and don't want to either), but I have seen enough of Vic's short passing along the back to know that he gives me palpitations every time he does it.
Deflecting on Archie and any of the other young players is cowardly, he wouldn't try it with Cuti or Micky. Same goes for Frank.
Can't say I'm impressed with that sort of behaviour from one of the leadership group, he supposed to help nurture the youngsters.
I still don't agree with booing individuals, but I have noticed that in the last two games at home that Vic has not acknowledged the South Stand before the start; if deliberate, he's a petulant twerp who needs benching.

Yep. It WAS Archie’s mistake, but this sort of thing is a constant worry and had been for two and a half years. All from Vicario’s incompetence and if it’s not better by now, it won’t get better.

The trouble is, he IS our best keeper. Kinsky is probably only better at distributing the ball.

Because Vicario was doing what Frank wants him to do. Frank did the same at Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton both do it, that fucking idiotic move where a CM runs back to the edge of the area to take a pass from the goalkeeper.

It's the stupidest thing in football
You have to play whats in front of ye. Surely to god they have the freedom to not pass where we can be dispossesed easily right in front of goal.
If theyre following instructions to the letter was that performance what frank sent them out to do? Im sure he sent them out to complete 5 yard passes

They're all petulant twerps, this whole gather together to walk off at halftime nonsense demonstrates that perfectly.

So focussed on coming up with a way to shelter themselves from the flack rather than knuckle down and avoid the flack altogether by actually putting in a performance on the pitch!

Absolute morons and sad to say they'd fit in just perfectly at Woolwich under that twat Arteta!

he should be able to play that with his right first time if he turns his body with the ball and let’s it slightly run across him. It’s not a hard pass. He doesn’t sort his feet out. Plays that to his right he’s in more trouble. Even if he takes the touch he can still protect it by getting his body between man and ball. He’s just completely unaware of the man coming up behind him. Vicarios is an easier player to criticise than Gray for Carragher.

Doesn’t mean I rate him, he’s a poor keeper who gives everyone the jitters.

The pass is garbage and sells Archie down the river then the fact he gets beaten by a cross on the next goal and has no clue where the ball is means he should be chastised for his performance. Everyone knows he can be beaten from distance.

he shouldnt play it to his right, the ball needs to come square on (so he can play it first time with his right), the pass is dog shit, theres only so much 'sorting his feet out' he can do! hes fucked by the physics of the pass.

did you watch the video? im not sure how its even a debate lol, the kids had a bobbling pass given to his weaker foot, his left leg has to come out to his left to control the ball, you expect him to play a shit pass like that with his right foot first time....its nonsense. hes dealing with a 7 yard pass!!! he has no time to sort his feet lol. no player in the world is playing that with their right foot first time as the balls so bad into them that they cant!
