Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Something ain't right with him. Looked disinterested tonight. I've noticed the few games this season that Bale has been allowed to shine he's made Harry look like a pub player. Definitely think there's an ego battle from Kane's side.

Noticed this too. Had him in a bet with Son to get two shots on target each. Kane left me down. He was terrible. Most worrying was his total disinterest and lack of desire. Never seen him like that before.

I'm sure he's gutted he didn't score. Tonight was a good chance to pull away for the golden boot.

Don't think there's much to read into other than it wasn't his night.

I think they haven't actually had a lot of opportunity to work together and figure each other out, but I fully believe that a fit and firing Gareth Bale can and will provide enough a distraction from opposing players to open up Kane's performances, as well.

I'm not too sure. Get the feeling this town ain't big enough for the both of us. I can see both being here next season so hope there isn't another soap opera.

Kane should have scored one of his chances and had an assist. He wasn't on it in front of the goal tonight; it happens, even to Kane. I think the front three look in sync.

And as someone else said, he was probably pissed he didn't score.

This isn’t the first time Kane has gone missing in a game and it won’t be the last. He does it fairly regularly but he’s phenomenal on his day and that’s what sticks in people’s minds.

it wasn’t Kane’s best game but I’m sure it’s one he’ll appreciate after the fact.

When was the last time we’ve looked comfortable in a match where he not involved in any of the goals and was arguably the poorest performer on the team?

This is he sort of performance that can convince him that the team isn’t entirely hopeless and with a few quality additions, great things may come if he stays.

Bad day at the office in terms of finishing. However, two efforts would've been offside anyway and the left-footed wide effort probably would've been blocked if on target anyway.

He played all right - just couldn't get the goal or two he was after. Hope he beats that shit Salah to the golden boot.

Hyperbole won’t strengthen your point of view. I did feel like Harry felt he wasn’t top dog tonight and it affected his game. But “pub player”.... please?

Points of view of course. But I can remember tonight and I think palace and Burnley where it seemed to follow the same narrative. Hopefully nothing in it but it seems a bit if a coincidence to me.

It does make you wonder whether he’s cut out to be just another excellent player in a team full of excellent players. Or whether he feels the need to be relied upon.

This is a good point worth considering.

He may enjoy the "Big fish in a small pond"/being part of a big three (him, Son and formerly Dele) position that he has here.

As odd as it sounds he could end up struggling with being a galactico or similar.
