IMO Dembele in the final third is key. Regardless who plays, Dembele should be used in the final third as a nailed on right sided AM.

We almost can't go wrong with any team we put out as long as Poch does not overload the team with lightweight players or put our a slow starting 11.

My opinion will be as unpopular as ever but I think Eriksen, and Son should be subs. If everyone was fit, this would be my starting 11:

The reason I say Dembele is key is he would not leave Trippier or Walker isolated like Townsned or Lamela did and ruin his defensive game. Eriksen does the same to Rose. I would not play Chadli in this instance because that leaves too much work for Alli.

I may be 100% wrong, but I am convinced Bentaleb, Alli, Mason and Dembele would be killers as AM's long term.

The only thing I worry about is pace. Which is why I'm glad we got the signings we did as Song and Njie on the ball are pacy so we can sprinkle it in among us when it's not going our way. That is why I am glad we have Rose, Walker etc who have pace in spades.

IMO Kane has been suffering because Eriksen, Chadli and Lamela often lose the ball in the final third. If we were in Europe constantly I would go Song, Eriksen, Lamela etc. But if I wanted to win the prem, I'd play the above team all season and eventually I think they will be world beaters.

Lots have written off Bentaleb. IMO he will come back like a man possessed. What I am worried about is Poch will do a Dembele again and keep playing these stallions out of position as sad DM's.

These are serious players players. I still think Eriksen, Lamela, Son etc are mavericks, which makes them perfect super strong backup.

The back line would stay the same because it's the best defensive unit I've seen in a Spurs shirt in years.

I did want to put Rose in my starting 11 in Bentlebs place but his crossing...His passing and through balls...He has not given me a single crumb of evidence he improved from last season, he's gone backwards.

So the key to my opinion: When we make a change...We make a fucking change. Son and Eriksen for Bentleb and Dembele. That's trying to change something. Not more Townsend for Lennon.

I'm sorry, but I just can't believe the stupidity in that line-up. Poch do a Dembele? Yet he's the first fucking manager in years to player him in a attacking role.
You're essentially complaining about players being played out of position, but you want to play BENTALEB as a wide forward type player? You want MASON to replace a 10-goal-a-season AM? You want Son(who's got 3 in 7!?), who's offering a whole new dimension of play to our team? You want Bentaleb to be a wide am??????? On what basis? Bentaleb's crossing is superior to Rose's? Because of the assist against Woolwich? You're telling me Rose has gone backwards? You want us, who have suffered so much for our lack of pace, to play an attacking midfield of Bentaleb - Mason - Dembele? Dembele, the human fulltime whistle? The man who literally stagnates every single attack he's involved in? This is the most pathetic excuse of a line-up I have ever seen, it's obvious you know absolutely fuck all about football.
Also it's a joke that sammyspurs, of all people on this fucking forum, is pretending to be this little angel, calmly listening to, and taking into consideration everybody's opinion.

Just like Dembele.

Just like Mason.

All 3 players above are more out of position as a DM, than as an AM.

Sherwood played Chadli and Siggy as midfield destroyers. He gave Walker a free role.

He's insane.

I want to stop hamstringing our players by putting Eriksen, Mason, Dembele in the trenches.

You give Bentaleb, Mason and Dembele more attacking rope and your Harry doing everything, being the obvious focal point for defenders will be history.

NO! Bentaleb was played as a CM under Sherwood. I agree that Dembele has been played out position, however that isn't Poch's fault. Mason was an AM for the youth-teams, but we just have better options there. The three you have behind Kane has a combined goal-tally of a whooping 10 goals in 194 games... 10 goals in 194 games, just let that sink in, will you?

Not to mention dropping our two best attacking players so far this year to accommodate it. Where's the width and pace? Only Walker in that side of any notable pace.

Where's the service to Kane you moan about? You've dropped Eriksen, our best passer and Lamela our leading assister.

Dembele is not renowned for either his cutting through balls or his crossing. He is known for his dribbling and ball retention. Mason is more known for his tenacity and running from deep. Kane would be starved of service. It's a nonsense set-up.

Also, just because Bentaleb and Mason played at AM in youth levels does not mean that is what they are now. Bentaleb has played CM his entire prem career and also international career. He is a CM.

Mason was earmarked by none other than Paul Scholes as a potentially excellent CM. You'll forgive me for taking one of the greatest CM's of all time's opinion on Mason rather than yours.

Your ideas reek of you just trying to be clever so that if it ever were to come to fruition and somehow prosper you can claim yourself to be Arrigo Sacchi reborn or some shit.

I don't disagree with it all though. I too think Bentaleb will come back stronger than ever.
