We've literally just had a quality player sign for us and, in his own words, we were all he wanted.

As we stand at the moment, we might not be that appealing to someone like Laporte, but if we were to bring in a couple more quality additions, and Paratici shows him the plan we have to return back to challenging that top 4, honours etc, there's absolutely no reason why he wouldn't seriously see us as a team worth joining.

There's a considerable difference between Romero from Atalanta and Laporte from City. There's lot of good players out there we can realistically sign.
 
This statement is probably less about the fans and more about walking in to the dressing room with the team mates he has insulted all week tomorrow morning.

If it were about the fans, a statement would have been made on day 1.

Even Son got mad at him, liking some post that goes against what Kane is doing.
How the fuck can anyone make Son annoyed with them? That's the kind of shit that would make Saint Peter turn you away.
