Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Really not sure about this......

I mean I guess we'd get 3/4 more years out of him but we'd be rewarding his treachery?
If we get 3/4 more years out of him WE are rewarded for his treachery.

He can leave on a free on June 30, 2024. If paying him a market rate salary extends that date we should do it.

If giving him a release clause extends that date we should do that as well, within reason. I suspect the existence and precise terms of any such clause will be the major sticking point, but again, we gain massively by extending the date at which he can leave on a free, we should want to make significant effort to do that if it’s possible.

WTF is this shit. Just as I was starting to get behind Kane again...

Telegraph Excerpt:

Kane insisted in a statement on his social media platforms that he “will be 100 per cent focused on helping the team achieve success” now his dream move has been ruled out, but he is understood to be deeply upset at Levy refusing to do business.

He believed there to be a gentleman’s agreement, which was not honoured, that should have allowed him to leave if Spurs failed to win a trophy or finish in the top four of the Premier League last season.

Levy did not want to negotiate with City for Kane, despite him telling Gary Neville in an interview that he wanted to leave and named City as his preferred destination where he would benefit from the service of Kevin De Bruyne. His attempts to engineer a move appeared to strengthen Levy’s resolve to keep him.
Why get angry that The Telegraph are putting words to a story? Most of this stuff is speculation, sure Kane wanted to leave, City didn't pay up, now he'll stay here and score lots of goals and possibly leave next year. We might do well and he could stay. That's life, people have wants, desires, needs, urges, personal animosities. Just relax, and don't allow these players to hurt your feelings.

That is how we won the double by spending money and bringing in players.

Blood money? Human rights abuse? Sportswashing? Wealth of a nation? Corruption?
