Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It was a massive opportunity to win things and transform their investment for the medium term. Why didn’t we borrow to finance the rebuild from a position of strength?

We didn't need to do any such thing we are owned by a billionaire and one of the richest men in football

We where legit a couple of decent back up players from winning stuff we didn't need to change any investment strats.

The reason we didn't kick on isn't because we built the stadium but because the owners don't care about on field success they only cared about getting the stadium so they could get an NFL team in it and use it for gigs and boxing events and anything else

Spurs where just a way to get the planning permit to build the Damm thing if we think any of our ticket prices or the stadium revenue is gonna do anything other then go in Uncle Joe's pocket we are kidding ourselves

If we wanted success we would have brought in Conte or try to poach any other WC manager and give them a blank cheque to gut this shite squad and get us competitive again. But instead we brought in a man who was let go by a worse side then us, because he agreed to not want to change a lot and work with the same shit we have had before

As long we don't get relegated nothing's gonna change. We better get used to this shit cause it's not changing anytime soon

And Kane wanted to leave like the way he did. That's the real trash. After Club doing everything for him for seven years making him what hes become.

Well I shouldn't really say trash more like childish and tragic the way how the Golden opportunity for the Club to win a few has turned out totally wasted

We one of of a number of clubs who are run to be self-sufficient.

Come to terms with that.... It won't change unless we get a sugar-daddy owner.

Perhaps you know one..... If so, drop him a text.... See if he's interested.

Be sure to provide evidence of this IF it happens and I'll jump right on board.

Word Salad.

No thanks I've already eaten.

What was.......? What part of my post are you responding to?

Why didn’t we borrow to finance the rebuild from a position of strength?

Cos we'd borrowed a fucking mint to build a stadium and, whilst banks are keen to lend towards infrastructure projects (as they have a solid asset value), they are far less so with regard to playing the player lottery (which could just see the investment go up in smoke - See Ndombele/Gio trf window).

Poch wanted to bench Kane in the CL final but couldn't because Kane was the face of not only Spurs but England football. This is my take not by what Poch said but what he didn't say but showed

He didn't want to bench Kane because he was our star player, our top scorer in both the league and joint in the CL, and if the medical staff gave him the nod that he was ready, it made total sense to play him.

The whole fanfare over Kane playing in that final is laughable. Liverpool were a far better team than us that season and they were big favourites regardless. Lucas wasn't suddenly Messi because he'd turned up for one game vs Ajax. Van Djik that year could make any striker in world football look crap.

Sissoko gave away a pen early and the better team saw out the game. With or without Kane it would have been much the same.

Defend how we have regressed all you want mate but other 'self sufficient" clubs EG Leicester have managed to win serious silverware whilst we have regressed and teams like Everton and Villa seem to be have overtaken us also.

We are run like fucking shit and anyone who defends how we are run and will continue to be run is deluded

Time to move on. I've felt it for a few years, but I think he's too much of a presence in our team. It could be worse because certainly, our superstar has been professional and hardworking. But I don't think a guy who is quite so locked into the 11 no matter what is healthy. Rushed back from injury too many times, started when he shouldn't have (CL final). taking all the FKs when he never gets them on target, etc. You even see it with England. We need to remember this is a team first.

Sure whatever floats your boat. if it could make you sleep better

I've defend nothing in my post. You just seem to have got carried away with your own thinking and thrown some of the basic facts out of the window.

Calling for "blank cheques" FFS..... You think that deserves to be taken seriously?

Again.... Stick to what's being said to you...... My post didn't make claims about how well or otherwise I think we're run.

Notable you can't offer a direct counter-point to any of the specific comments I made.... You just hrew a bunch of barely connected what-about-ism up in the air.

By all means try again if you wish.

We don't have blank cheques. If we try and outgun City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea etc we'll just end up a very costly, pale imitation.

Our recruitment has to be at least more hit than miss, the managerial appointments have to be consistent and with a long-term vision in place, and we have to know when to sell our big assets so we can reinvest. This is how other clubs like Dortmund manage to consistently do quite well despite not throwing around money.

Welcome to the forum, always good to have new people joining.

Pssst. pssst.

Tell him about the NWO (new admin dictates).

Inter are fucked financially. Their Chinese owners Suning have been clobbered by the pandemic. They liquidated the club they owned in China and were having a fire sale of players.

Kane didn’t seemingly want to go to abroad anyway. PSG are an exhibition club in a one team league.

He wants to have medals handed to them in European Cup and league, Man U not an option there at the moment. Solskjaer is more of a Spurs joke manager.

Citeh and Chelsea were the only two realistic options.
It would have been less about Kane's preferences, but that having those other clubs show interest would have likely 'encouraged' City to improve their bid.

It would have been better than the staring contest levy hosted and the shitty situation we are now in with a player who can't be guaranteed to put in his best on the pitch.

ok, thanks for clearing that up.
For a moment I though people were serious about this.

FFS Lukaku was sold to earn some cash and he was substituted with Edin fucking Dzeko!!
PSG did not go for Messi because he "fits" in the team. They go after the biggest star just for shits and giggles. Signing Kane would have never given the Sheikh such a raging boner as multiple Ballon d'or winner Messi.
United never was on market for such player, and just in last minute they wanted their romantic reunion. Of a player that cost 15 mil. That is one 0 missing
According to you, Levy played our best hand?

I really wish Poch took a stance and started Kane from the bench on that CL final.

Like you indicated it is never one thing it's combinations and the sum of all shit except in the case of ENIC and Levy. It is always them coin counting worms. I wonder how much they made or saved I should say selling Llyorentte or Dembelle. I think selling Dembelle was even in the middle of Seaon in December.
