Seems if each of those players you named had proper competition for places their work-to-rule efforts wouldn't have mattered too much. Hahahaha no we haven't. We scraped two wins without him and looked shit on the ball in both of them. In both of the Europa League games we played vs farmers we lost without him and didn't score a single goal. If you think just the presence of Son (who pissed both our chances up the wall tonight) is gonna transform this attack you're having a laugh.
We'll probably look more solid and organised without him as his off the ball work is criminal, but attacking wise we'll still be fucking dreadful, doesn't matter who we chuck in the side. Well - they did get moved on and replaced, tbf - recruitment has been woeful. I agree, tho - we need the seasoned pro + backup in the wings…we either have one or the other.
