Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I assure you whatever "commitment" you think would clarify Kane's intent to leave would only upset you - and the situation - worse.

I'm not sure how the situation could be much worse.

Right now Ange is preparing a team to play with Kane up front. This includes giving Kane minutes in friendlies and presumably putting work into the system with Kane as first choice in training. This is a waste of time if Kane is off and those minutes should be given to Richarlison, Son, Solomon or whomever is going to replace Kane in our new system. It's kind of like taking Hugo on tour and giving him minutes instead of Vacario. If Kane is leaving, then Levy should just get it done.

Also, that 80-100m makes a big difference to our transfer plans. A lot of things are on hold and the manager is being forced to tread water by this nonsense.

Either sign a contract or fuck off. And if Levy is the one sitting around with his finger up his arse because he is yet to make a decision then all I can say is that he has not learned a thing. Postecoglou needs clean air, not this bullshit.

The transfer of Kane was hardly going to be a quick process. If he is available for 80m EUROS then I would fully expect United, Juventus, Inter, Chelsea, Bayern, PSG, Saudis, Newcastle, City ALL to play very close attention. We can't sell to the fist team to make a below par offer.

We clearly cannot go into a season with a 31 year old Son and injury prone Richalison as our striker options. But equally - we cannot go out and buy a top striker until Kane is sold.

This will drag out till the end of the window.

I'm not suggesting we sell to the first team to make a below par offer but if he leaves at the end of the window how are we supposed to replace him in time to bed in a new striker?

If I am Postecoglou I am livid. Spurs fans will turn on him very quickly if the results don't come rather quickly. Most fans say they will be patient, but will they really? I have my reservations.

Every day this drags on compromises the gaffer, the preparation and the squad. Levy should start setting and sticking to some time limits on Kane and Bayern or any other interested party.

No-one's expecting him to hit the ground running, so I think most are on board with giving him a few months to work things out. But that doesn't mean he's got free reign to let us sink.

Our last long-term project manager had stuff to sort through and deadwood to shed and he still managed to get us to 5th despite a wobbly start. We'd finished 6th the year before so he actually pushed us on. It's not unreasonable to expect Ange to, at the very least, keep us around 8th (preferably gunning for a European spot).

Yeah, that's fair.

Harry Kane is now giving me the shits. Seriously, this has been going on for far too long and he could have shut the speculation down by making a commitment either way. Levy can also take his share of the blame for not getting this utter fucking shambles sorted by now.

The whole thing is undermining the new gaffer, the squad and the rebuild process. And it is starting to fuck the fans off. No player is bigger than the club and Spurs will survive whether one player, as good as he is, leaves or not.

I am now at the point where we should just sell him and get those funds reinvested immediately.

The shits. Blimey it's dier here!

He wants to go, but Levy won’t allow the deal to go through until he’s maximised every last quid on 31st Aug

"Harry, how do you feel about a spot as a CB?" That should speed up his decision.

I feel he really does need to be given a deadline to either sign a contract or commit to leaving. If I were him, I'd drag it out too - best case would be hold out until either an ideal transfer is found or he reaches the end of his existing contract. But that's not in the clubs best interests. Once that deadline is hit, then things need to move very quickly - both in and out.

I sure hope Ange has been working on alternative options up front from the existing squad other than Kane and Richarlison. I'm sure he has, he is incredibly good at managing difficult squad situations.

where is Levy's show of committment to Kane ? everyone know we need CB's so where are our new CB's
if we got the players in we need maybe Kane could stay ( no much hope I know)

"Please notice me...I long for your attention...life is boring running around from thread to thread posting charts and spouting right-wing nonsense"

Sudoku, we're in the HK thread...you got anything to add that is on topic? Is he going? Is he staying? will it affect what charts you post? I'm expecting him to stay now. Every fucking week you'll be able to posting an update on his numbers...how exciting will that be? Gives us all something to look forward to.
Like I said, I did not give your post a disagree.

"One high-profile source told Telegraph Sport that Joe Lewis ‘never gets involved’ in football-related decisions which is why reports of him ordering Levy to sell Kane have been met with caution by those who know both men."

Prof on COYS re Kane:

"Despite playing on the tour, respecting Ange, appreciating our fans, working hard in training, etc, following a candid conversation with DL the expectation within the Kane camp is that he will not be a Spurs player by the time the window closes."

Is Prof trusted?

This, very much this.

I said back in June, that we should have named our price and set a deadline. We know that Kane's halfwit agent is sounding out clubs behind our backs anyway, and the world knows selling with a year left is the smart move. We should have named our two prices. Or three prices. One for foreign teams, one for English team, and one for top of the line cunts (Chavs and Woolwich). Meet that asking price by say July 1st or July 15th, so be it, we're selling. If not, he's staying. Period.

This circus is insanity, and Levy absolutely knew it was coming.

How long have you supported Spurs!?!

Our deadline is always the same. The last day of the transfer window. Sometimes the last minute.

We named a price but with Harry wanting to go and Bayern happy to play silly buggers this was always going to drag out.

It’s like Groundhog Day. Not sure why anybody is surprised.

I’m pretty sure you have defended Levy’s actions in the past - so excuse me if I’m mistaking you for someone else.

This is just the flip side of the Daniel Levy coin.

The last minute deal to save ££s which affects the start of our season.
But Berbatov, Modric, Bale, Eriksen - big players who all ended up being transferred at the end of the window.
All the same MO. Drag it out and get as much money as possible from the buying club. That’s what he does.
It’s just not that helpful to our manager at that point in time.
