Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

All Kane needs to do, to rightly be in that highest (Messi, Maradona, Ronaldos, Zidane apart), is do what he does at the World Cup next year.

If he does it, then he moves into tier 1.1, above the Henry's etc.

No questioning how good he is at present, but the quality of opponent and who he plays for just cannot be dismissed or not used as context.

Only a new challenge or 'unfinished' PL business brings him back to England. Barcelona would be a good move it isn't to be us.

Really?

In the last 8 CL finals, the EPL has had 7 teams feature, with 2 of those finals featuring all EPL clubs. In that time, BM have been there once.
Spurs did not qualify for the CL last season (in retrospect that may have been a good things as Spurs won a trophy due to it) because ending 5th the season in the EPL before that was not enough in the EPL to get 5 teams in the CL, because Seri A, La Liga and Bundesliga had out-performed EPL clubs in Europe and thus qualified to have 5 teams in the CL (while EPL was allowed 4)

Ah yes, I misread your post tbh. I thought you were talking about BM in particular. My bad.

England have finished top of those rankings 6 times in the last 10 years, Spain 3 times and Italy once, Germany 0 times. In that period, English teams have won 8 European titles and Germany have won 2. It's clearly a weaker league, not sure why you're even arguing this.

Take a bow at greatness. It's a shame for him that he's English and not Spanish or Argentine. He would get twice the praise he generally does.

Imagine the wankfest if Rodri, a natural ball playing midfielder, did that at 0:30.

Very impressive. Playing much deeper for them than he did for us, judging by this.

Lots of talk about him playing on for another several years. I think he may have to limit the “leave it to me lads” all over the pitch attitude if he’s to do that.

He had to make way and give up his CF position for the world class Nicolas Jackson.

But it shows how good he is, easily could be top 10 AMs in the world.

If you had read my initial post on this you would have seen that I was not arguing about the Bundesliga is a weaker league (the EPL is the stronger league)...it was arguing about the Bundesliga being a "much easier league" - which is not the case.
And fact is, Spurs lost out of the CL when finishing 5th because Bundesliga clubs had done better in Europe - which was based on a UEFA point system and not a subjective opinon.

TBH he wasn't this player with us. I think he's improved massively by not thinking of himself as the main man, and adapting to being a part of the team instead of the one-man team.
Similar to Bale

He absolutely was this player with us, the season he won top scorer and top assister under Jose showed how good his all round game was.

I actually think (thanks for the patronising) that you've clearly not been watching him at Bayern.

Everyone can see he has moved up a level

You said he hasn't adapted to be a team player whilst he was with us which isn't true, as showed when he was getting assists and creating chances for others.

I don't see a lot of difference to his game, he's playing with better players though and a piss easy league, he does look more fitter and happier than he was with us.

Honestly. Why would he come back? He’s the king of his adopted country. The superstar of a club much bigger than us. Would be madness for him to come to Tottenham any time soon. Bayern then somewhere like LA would surely be better for his family and lifestyle.
