Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think that Kane, Son and Ndombele could get in to their best 11, but I was never talking about their best 11 I was talking about their season this year which had MFers, Phillips and Kabak playing as CBs for most of the season.

Edit:

I also think that Reguilon would be close.

So let's say that's three players from 11. So like I said, there team pisses all over ours currently despite the season they're having.

Don't think any Liverpool fan would want to go near Ndombele, Klopp certainly wouldn't, but that's something else.

I would say there are also plenty of close players so no they don't piss all over ours.

Liverpool fans can want to go near him or not that doesn't change his talent. Ndomebele is a better player than guys they have in their midfield and would look better by having guys like Fabinho and Thiago around him.

They don’t have to change his mind. He has 3 years left on a 6 year contract. Think it was Jermaine Jenas I heard making the point during the week, he was at the club when Modric was agitating for a move to the Chavs. He was told it’s not happening. You’re under contract.

Keeping a player who doesn’t want to stay, well, we’ll see how that ends. I think Harry’s respect for the club and that he’s a class act won’t lead to him downing tools, but if he loses his drive and gets increasingly frustrated, it will show on the pitch.

Is he the top goal scorer & assist in Europe ? He is excellent at hold up play & his assists speak volumes about his all in all play . How many times is he the one who clears the ball from an oppositions corner ?
Team chemistry is key , along with morale , self belief , mental fragility & ironing out stupid mistakes . That’s were we fall short
i said i agree that kane maybe just scrapes world class, but hes the only one we have that is! son is not a world class forward. he has some world class attributes i.E his finishing when one on one with the keeper, but in terms of his all round play hes far from world class, in build up play hes actually really poor.

2 world class forwards we would be top 4 even with the dross we have at the back. theres probably a good 15 forwards ahead of son. where do you draw the line for world class?

If we deal with United we have to insist on Henderson being included in deal and if its City I would take Ake.

100m and either of them and unfortunately we will probably sell.

There's some truth to this, but I think it's largely down to the people around him. I mean, he had a great spell with Harry where they were telepathic, then the whole team turned to shit, no one player's fault.

He put a good ball in for Bale's goal last week (it wasn't hard, but he saw the run and completed the pass).

I think the one clear problem he has is that he's greedy, which is basically standard for forwards of his ability (Kane is the same).

If we had more people making better runs, he'd be shown to have more value in creation. I can't prove that, but it's the impression I get. I'm not saying he'd be world-class playmaker, just that he wouldn't look so shit at it.

love kane but it's time to move on from the harry kane era. time to rebuild with a new manager and players. 15-17 was our peak with harry and i don't see us ever getting there if we try to grind it out with these players. a major overhaul is needed.

Never turns up in the big games
His overall goal scoring stats are phenomenal, that can’t be disputed. If you drill down through the figures though throughout his career, there is a pattern that he doesn’t score too many against better sides. Harry is top scorer with 21 league goals this season. The only goal he’s scored from open play against a side in the Top 7 out of those 21 was the goal to put us 1-3 up in the 1-6 win at Old Trafford.

the whole team did go to shit. but even when kane isnt red hot he still contributes in games. if son isnt scoring he offers us sweet fuck all, in build up play hes actually a hindrance. genuine world class forwards drag their team through games consistently.

watch son on the ball anywhere outside the final third, when a bit of actual football is needed..hes actually really poor! thats not the trait of a world class forward

I thought he looked fucking exhausted in the last couple of games. Nearly 28 years old and looking like 48.

Unpopular opinion but I think we've had about 7 years of prime Kane. We've not won anything in all that time. Maybe a parting of the ways would be best for everyone?

People often refer to players scoring against the top teams, but statistically - players will score twice as many goals against opponents that concede twice as many compared with the big teams.

What stands out to me though is something I posted previously.. his lack of goal contributions in business stage cup games. In finals / semis we lost it's unrealistic to expect too much from 1 player - but in the games we have won, his stats aren't really outstanding.

Kane in Quarter / Semi finals we have won;
Played: 6 (1 as sub)
Scored: 1 penalty
Assists: 2
MOTM: 0

Thing is with the league, outside the top 7 there are 26 games to play, or 78 points at stake.

As we crawl towards a maximum 65 point season it's worth remembering that scoring in, and winning these games are what define your league position.
It's different if you're talking about say Michael Owen at Newcastle, scoring goals but they are mostly conciliations - but Kane scores us goals that win games in the league.
