Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Of the 21 league goals Harry has scored this season, just one of those goals was from open play against Citeh, Man U, Chavs, Dippers, Leicester (the 3rd goal in the 6-1 win at Old Trafford). Those are the top sides and have been the top sides throughout Harry’s career. It’s what you do and the results you get in those games that are the difference between us skulking around 6th or 7th or punching higher.

There’s many here who rate Harry as the best striker in the world. If he is, he’s going to be judged by higher standards than filling his boots against West Brom or Crystal Palace.
People think scoring against Woolwich in a season both won nothing is massive

We don't do business with Chelsea - never going to happen

It's either City or nothing
If the price is right, I’ve no doubt Levy will do business with Chavs, if he has to. Only state financed team like Russian Chavs or Abu Dhabi Citeh will be able to come up with £150 odd million this summer. Levy would prefer if it’s Citeh, but he’ll do what he has to.

No one with eyes and brain would argue that Harry Kane is a phenomenal striker. Very possible the best striker that my eyes have seen and will see in Spurs squad. I can't recall a single team in the world that would not benefit from buying someone like Kane. He is not only a striker but can contribute all across the path - find passes, work back to defense and even clear corners from first post!

And despite all that, I am not even too bothered about him leaving in the summer.
By no means has he been the one not good enough to win trophiies or whatnot. But I started to think, what have been his most decisive goals for us. How has he played in the biggest games for Spurs. Aaand... I did not come up with anything significant. Most memorable goals by him have come in NLDs. Those are worth a lot, no question. But at the same time those games don't win you titles. And when you think of era-defining moments, you think of Llorente goal. You think of Moura hat-trick. From time before Kane you think of Crouchy goal against City. But none comparable to those goals by Kane, at least to me right now (if there are some, refesh my memory please)

Once more - I am not blaming Kane in our issues. But I am saying that he is not above the problems we as a squad have been facing for years. It is not like he can point fingers at defense for leaking goals in finals after attack has done it's job. I think we have never scored a goal in cup final in his era.

I have no doubt that he can fit right in to a team that has structures in place - that has experienced players with authority and experience of winning titles. I don't think that he would somehow fall short there. But in here, he is not leader enough to be this authority, this driving force, this spearhead of our hunger.

He will be held in high regard for all he has done for the club. But it is not like would be 100% faultless to our inability to get some crutial moments over the line.

Kane will move to city and clean up with all the trophies under the sun and will break even more records. Then the people on here giving him stick for single handily not winning us trophies, will then be eating their words. Kane has his faults, but some spurs fans on here are an embarrassment. The guys goal scoring record for this club is beyond ridiculous and you got the cheek to call him out ? He can’t do it all on his own ffs. It’s not his fault he has the worlds shittest defence behind him fucking up game after game. Kane goes, this club falls faster than an avalanche and you spoilt fucks on here won’t know what’s hit you when we get a far inferior replacement. You will all see.

Kane will win stuff at City but so has Mahrez

City will not build their team around him though. He will be an option to change it up.
A true sink or swim move, but I feel constantly being 15 meters behind the pace of Sterling and Walker will ultimately see him flop there.

It’s going to be Utd I reckon, but yeah, if he just wants a cup then he should go to City.
Won’t be the Harry Kane team though

What are you trying to say? Citeh will keep winning trophies whether or not they sign Harry. Are you making the point that Citeh are going to suddenly stop winning trophies after this season if they can’t sign Harry this summer?

Nobody is calling him out. He’s been part of a really shit side last two seasons, that’s a given and there’s only so much he can do. He was part of a side for about 4 seasons that were good enough to win plenty of trophies but didn’t win anything. That’s a collective failure of all involved in that period - Pochettino as a manger and all of those players, Kane included.

This is just waffle

Name your most memorable moments since ENIC took over.
I’d go for Chelsea and Woolwich 5-1’s, , Chelsea 2-1 after 16 years, Carabou 2008, City away Crouch, Inter and Milan, Wigan, Real at Wembley, City and Ajax CL.

Kane played one, and scored 0.
Simple fact is that there hasn’t been euphoria on that level in many games Kane has played and he’s been first team since 2014

That's all on Poch and Harry overachieving - fuck all to do with ENIC

Saying Kane isn't our best player in a generation is disgraceful, imv

Seven years and Kane has not contributed a goal to one single game that was even 50% of the euphoria felt in the games I listed above

Don’t see this club sinking without him whatsoever.
He’s one of our best ever players on his day, I’ve never said otherwise.

That day has been against the likes of Palace and Maccabi Haifa for the last 9 months though

Agree, imagine what his scoring record would have been for us with a great midfield and defence behind him.

That's why if he goes to somewhere like city, he will win trophies and score even more.

We can't replace Kane and I feel sorry already for his eventual replacement judging from some of the views on here picking faults with our best striker since greaves.

Some of you should have a look at postiga, iversen, Armstrong and rebrovs tallies, because that is what we are returning to if Kane leaves.

So ArcspacE ArcspacE
You disagree, why not list the games Kane played that reached the heights of Ajax, Inter, Milan and City away for 4th and City away CL?

Then list all the goals he scored in them?

Random PL game against Woolwich need not apply

Harry has scored 9 goals against teams in the top 10 positions in the EPL and 12 goals against lower half teams. So bollocks he does not score against better teams.
He is the leading goal scorer and leading assists in the EPL despite not having a decent midfielder in the Spurs team to give him more assists.
He has the highest GPG in the entire history of the EPL.
And he would make Man City a worse side?
Give to me a break!
100% WUM.

Nope, but city will break even more records with a player like Kane. Now Aguero is finished, they don’t have a 30 goal a season striker. With Kane they get that and they would dominate with him. Kane would also break records and win trophies, which will debunk the myth that he’s some sort of bottler. Spurs are a bunch of bottlers as a group, but if we had 11 Harry Kane’s, we wouldn’t be in this position. His attitude is first class. He’s head and shoulders above any Spurs player. His goal scoring record is stupendous. He leaves, this club reverts back to mid table it’s as simple as that

On 2016/17 and 2017/18 we had the goalkeeper and back four that conceded the fewest goals in the league and we had a bloody good midfield too. We still didn’t win anything.

Harry is all but guaranteed to fill his boots with trophies and medals at either Chavs or Citeh so good luck to him if he goes down that route.

Man U possibly a more interesting challenge. If he went there and scored 20 league goals and they won the league for the first time in 9 years, he’s clearly the difference between winning and not winning the league as they’ve finished an average of 23 points behind the champions since Sir Alex departed on 2013. Not convinced they’re winning big anytime soon though, at least as long as Solskjaer is at the helm.
