Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Another point worthy of note - he won a World Cup golden boot. A phenomenal achievement for any player.

Groups.
Tunisia. Kane scores twice in the opening game. Comparable to bottom half table fodder.
Panama. Kane scores 2 pens against real bottom feeders.
Belgium. We lose 1-0.
Rnd of 16. Kane's penalty is enough to get us to a shootout.
Quarters. Maguire & Dele score for a 2-0 over Sweden.
Semi. Trippier scores our only goal as we lose to Croatia.
3rd/4th. Another defeat without a goal scored against a top side.

I think he was playing with Rashford, Sterling, Dele, Young & Lingard mostly.
I'm not convinced it's everyone else's fault in every situation that Kane doesn't have a great record in the biggest games.

There's no doubt in my mind that Kane is Premier League winner standard - but don't expect him to be the guy scoring in the 96th minute against QPR to win the league.

Was t it three penalties, a deflection off his heel with his back to play and two from open play?
Phenomenal?
Lol
Winning a World Cup golden boot is massive, whatever way it comes.

But so is winning 5 Premier Leagues, 2 FA Cups, 2 League Cups & 2 Champions Leagues - which Wes Brown can brag about, because players are defined by trophies right..

He failed to score during Euro 2016 too.

If Wes Brown contributed to those trophies then he deserves the acolades
The difference is that every milestone Harry reaches is a personal one that in seven years hasn’t benefited his team

It’s like people trying to make themselves feel better about how utterly embarrassing they were regarding Trippier by pretending he hasn’t helped Atletico to the verge of a title.

That’s what I want, team acolades, it’s irrelevant if Trippier has 48 assists or zero just like I couldn’t give a fuck if Kane won a golden boot because it’s Vardy with the PL medal in his cabinet

You and Sammy sound like Woolwich fans.

You and Sammy sound like Woolwich fans.
Why is he a Woolwich fan?
Sammy should be ignored foreverandever, agreed.

But this lad pointed out HK last WC goals and said he is EPL winning standard...

It is laughable to label everyone Woolwich fans who don't only brag about perfection of Kane and other players.

But to also contribute to the discussion - once more I would ask - what has been the case where Kane has really helped us over the line in very very crucial moment (like Moura did in CL semis, like Llorente did in quarters)? I honesty want to know that.

It does not leave too good impression when the folks disagreeing can't point out anything and go on how we have lost important games due to defence, while we have yet to score a single goal in any cup final for ages.

I know people defend Harry and his performances, his ambitions and what have you, with religious fervour, but I am at breaking point with him. I actually get angry just thinking about it. People bite their tongues on this, because they know what they will have to face, and sure, there are some trolls knocking around this place. I long for the days of a more mobile striker who can/will press, for starters. It will be less controversial to go into detail on this if he leaves.
Which striker was that then that you long for?

Take away Kane's goals and we don't qualify for the CL any season in the last 6 years and we aren't involved any titles races. We fell short in 16/17 because of injuries to Kane.

I think Kane ultimately has to leave to be appreciated by some. Same with Lloris.

In our last two finals we've played the best two teams in the World at the time.

There wouldn't even be a line to get over had it not been for Kane the past 6 or so years, why do we have to ignore all his contributions year in year out and whittle it down to those 3 cup finals he didn't score in, where the entire team shat the bed.

You genuinely believe we would have had ten men if Kane didn’t play?
Take away Hugo’s saves
Take away Eriksen and Deles assists
Take away every single Jan and Toby tackle

Your problem is you are like a seven year old that thinks because goals are all action, no other player is meaningful other than the striker

Proper cheerleader shit

Because it goes like this.
Kane is supposedly world class.
So he’s judged in a different level to Winks or Davies.
I expect shit players to be shit in massive games.
I don’t expect good players to be shit in massive games. If you don’t understand that, you need help.

Harry has scored 9 goals against teams in the top 10 positions in the EPL and 12 goals against lower half teams. So bollocks he does not score against better teams.
He is the leading goal scorer and leading assists in the EPL despite not having a decent midfielder in the Spurs team to give him more assists.
He has the highest GPG in the entire history of the EPL.
And he would make Man City a worse side?
Give to me a break!
100% WUM.

Chavs 5:3
Liverpool 4:1
Dortmund 3:1
Utd 3:0
Utd 6:1
All the fucken NLDs - we were wipping boys for those cunts for 20 years, mate

Don't be kidding

BRUTAL!

Sammy has been ended!

Kane would be better served being less greedy, I think that's fair to say.

I know strikers are meant to be greedy, but are they meant to drop deep and follow play around the pitch just to get involved?

Perhaps if Kane stayed up front and stopped running round the pitch plugging gaps our awful midfield should be filling, it would be better for both Kane himself and the team.
