Perhaps not a popular opinion to express tonight, but I do think we'd be wise to sell Son if a megaclub (especially from abroad) came in with a damn good offer in a year or two. He's a pace player, and it would make vastly more sense to sell at this peak value than hold onto him for too long and depreciate.

This would be the most apt ending to the most underwhelming of seasons....

Even Jose couldn't win us s trophy, so Kane finally realises we are cursed in that respect.

Everyone may as well leave, it's clear you only win trophies with the best players, having 2 our 3 great players clearly isn't enough, so what's the point in having ANY?

besides, City can afford all of them, so we may as well just sit back and watch City/Chelsea's 50+ man squads Hoover up and win everything for the next 10 years....

Football makes me fucking sick sometimes. Just go where the guaranteed trophies are.... we could ALL do that, and just support this year's Champions are each year, and pretend it means something... but we don't. We're stuck with our club, whether we like it or not.

We were CL finalists 2 years ago.... and went backwards.
Liverpool were losing finalists the year before us, but came back stronger, determined to put it right.... we've just been feeling sorry for ourselves and blaming others ever since!

I honestly dunno who to blame first for how this has all played out.... but its 2021, there HAS to be someone to blame!

Our best route to success in the next few years might be to sell both this summer and bring in 6/7 young players and Ten Hag/Potter. Accept a period of transition. Vlahovic, Daka, Gouiri, Bissouma, Emerson, Tapsoba + White. Hitchen dead of exhaustion by June 11th. ,

But surely that's the crux of what is fundamentally wrong with City....
You shouldn't be ABLE to GUARANTEE success in a 'fair' sporting competition.... otherwise what's the point of anyone else turning up?
Wasn't that the whole point of why the ESL proposals were so unpopular? A guaranteed, closed shop success formula, in which no one else is allowed to take part in?
Man City (and to a lesser extent Chelsea) are trying to create a 2 team monopoly on English football.... and by facilitating them with our best players... we're simply letting them do it!!!

That's why people love the Leiecster fairytale TM.... but we're neither the elite rich who buy success, (and those that like that sort of thing will blindly follow, pretending it means sonething) or the plucky, romantic underdog story who the rest will root for...

We're neither nor, yet everyone in between still hates us!

This is an incredibly difficult, multifaceted situation.

I will say that if it is true that Dortmund absolutely will not sell Haaland this summer, and no one believed them when they said that about Sancho last summer either, a nine-figure fee from City could be everyone's least bad option here.
 
Will not turn on Sky sports or go on sky web site as discusted with them. However I also cannot understand why those on here that are anti ENIC/Levy are revelling in the news. Surely selling Kane would be the biggest admission that we are not going to win a trophy any time soon
I do find it hard to believe the timing of any leak would come from anyone that actually supported Spurs including Kane. Sunday night possibly but now is crazy. Await tomorrow's press conference but Mason cannot do anything but state what the club tells him to say. Fans back, will Kane play and if so will he be cheered or booed.
If you support the club rather than the player then why want Kane to win trophies elsewhere. He is dead to me when/if he leaves. It was a disaster spending the Bale money and I cannot trust Hitchen/Levy to spend it wisely.
Levy will get more grief if he sells than keeps Kane and is in enough trouble with fans.
I will start the match on sky tommorrow with the TV on mute at KO. Turning off during h/t and only staying to F/T if the team are playing well. This really is a kick in the teeth, more so than the Super league debacle.
Kane has to stay and we build around him.

I read a post and if I disagree, I'll do it. I don't always have time to write out a full response, especially when there's pages of conversation I've yet to read.

I don't even notice who posted what. I react to the post, not poster. It's nothing personal. I'm pretty sure I've agreed with you on a number of occasions.
