Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm bored with this now, I will avoid news and papers until next Sunday, and will ignore this thread too.
He will do what he will do, and I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Levy will refuse to sell no matter what Harry wants. Then it's up to Harry how he responds, he will literally have to force a move by doing a Berba and Bale mega sulk and refuse to play

Like many I'd rather we sell him to a club overseas but Harry knows and likes the PL and wants to win the league. It's going to be City imo but United have both the cash and some players they think we would fancy that they no longer want i.e. Martial and Lingard. If take the former but not the latter. If Henderson is set to be their No.1 next season what about De Gea?
Again why do we want to take another clubs rejects? I’d rather the cash.

But surely that's the crux of what is fundamentally wrong with City....
You shouldn't be ABLE to GUARANTEE success in a 'fair' sporting competition.... otherwise what's the point of anyone else turning up?
Wasn't that the whole point of why the ESL proposals were so unpopular? A guaranteed, closed shop success formula, in which no one else is allowed to take part in?
Man City (and to a lesser extent Chelsea) are trying to create a 2 team monopoly on English football.... and by facilitating them with our best players... we're simply letting them do it!!!

That's why people love the Leiecster fairytale TM.... but we're neither the elite rich who buy success, (and those that like that sort of thing will blindly follow, pretending it means sonething) or the plucky, romantic underdog story who the rest will root for...

We're neither nor, yet everyone in between still hates us!

But we are the club that used to have an honestly quite sensible 100k per week wage cap we had to break due to player and fan demands.. plus our league positions moving to a higher level.

The club that grew from mid table mediocrity to not looking out of place in the Champions League.

Who sold our best players to bigger clubs in an attempt to secure a better long term future for the club.. turning an old 36,000 seat stadium in to a 60,000+ envy of the football world.

That have attempted to bring through young talent of our own, or to bring in future prospects. An expectation to work, develop and grow rather than just having instant success.

We certainly didn't buy our way there. We grew naturally through some good managers and young, lesser paid players doing the business on the field against the odds. Beating City for Champions League football with the likes of Bale, King, Dawson, Huddlestone, Lennon playing against mercenaries like Zabaleta, Toure, Adebayor, Tevez.

Although over the past year the club have let me down, left me feeling embarrassed & even ashamed of them at times - I still know the way we have done it and couldn't give a fuck about how other clubs fans hate us. They can never have what we have, and although it may not be silverware of recent years - we are Spurs, and I am Spurs, through and through.

That means more to me than it would essentially cheating by buying a Premier League title.

Fuck 'em all.

For me Levy and ENIC are pretty much at breaking point with the supporters. I would like to think that they realise 90% of the fan base would probably completely boycott the club if they were to sell our prized asset to a direct rival. What needs to be happening right now is Levy and the board need to sit down with Kane and promise him that we are intending to spend huge money on top players to turn us into a force and obviously promise a top manager is coming. If levy and ENIC don’t do this, then they literally can fuck right off. Make Harry want to stay at Spurs for life Levy you bald cunt. Do something about it.

If he is off and it now looks certain, then good luck to him. It’s been amazing to watch his progress from a chubby youngster to world class striker. I honestly think he’d of loved to have stayed, broken club records and won trophies. Those trophies are never gonna happen for him and for this team.

Thanks for the memories.

We'll see, personally I think that Levy got very lucky with the timing of Kane and that our recruitment back then and when Poch first joined was far more structured.

If we wish for a rebuild that will make us successful we will need to change the entire structure of the way things are currently and I personally think that Levy was very fortunate with the way things happened before and football has changed a LOT since then. I think we have to do things very differently this time in a way that our owners and Levy will not be comfortable with or, imo, successful with.

I am not saying we cannot have success without Kane, I am saying I have no faith whatsoever in our owners to rebuild this club on the pitch and I think that the bottom is going to fall out, I am willing to bet money on it I am that confident.

I tend to agree with some of that.

There is no reason to think that our recruitment can’t return to that level this summer.

Guys like campos and Rangnick have been linked to us, perhaps this is the push Levy needs to return to that style of set up.

Levy has shown he will put his personal ego ahead of team success so anything is possible, I just don’t see the benefit in being overly negative and assuming the worst case possible.

I know it's ITK so, hey, pinch of salt and all that. But...

'Dragon':

Kane has told them he wants to be informed who comes in for him and that he is unhappy with the clubs direction and lack of ambition

he has not handed a transfer request and will not cause a fuss but things are simmering

this summer is massive for levy as next year Kane will only have two years left and then he holds the cards

If this was true, would a single one of us blame him? We can't be hypocrites and discuss how much the club hierarchy has mishandled the team in the last few years and not expect Kane to have realised this from the inside.

My predictions for Kane next season.

1. United -they are still a financial goliath. Owners need something to get the fans off their backs. Happy to pay BIG money when they need to. (Maguire anyone?)
2. Liverpool - sell Salah. Makes sense for them, can they find enough down the back of the sofa to do the deal though?
3. City - They don't like making huge signings. If he goes they win everything next year. Everything.
4. Stays at spurs
5. Chelsea - Just don't think Levy would sell him to them. Even he knows he wouldn't survive.

If Kane goes I think Son is out of here too.

What needs to be happening right now is Levy and the board need to sit down with Kane and promise him that we are intending to spend huge money on top players to turn us into a force and obviously promise a top manager is coming. Not sure there's anything to be done at this point. It's not a defined sum of money, it's a question of trust.

Also, do not underestimate the possibility that Kane wanted Mourinho to stay and that was his final straw.

All of that said, if you can buy your way out of this problem, you absolutely do it. I'm just not sure it's a question of that, really.

Jose already has thanks to levy’s dumb arse appointment. That decision has taken us back to 2008. It’s going to cost us big time with Kane being the start. Just imagine if we got a half decent modern coach to replace poch and build on his work? Instead we got a dinasour who been sacked in his 2 previous jobs, with 2nd tine from Chelski, yet levy thinks in his infinite wisdom that he is right for us. That day was the start of the slide down fast. Basically 18 months wasted for all the players and club as Jose left a mess with development. His mission is accomplished with Kane going.
If we had the recruitment team of say Leicester then I wouldn’t be to worried about him going for north of £120 million, it’s the fact that we will spunk the money on complete shite and end up going back 5 years!
