I’d actually be surprised if City went in for him as they have the opportunity to buy Haaland, who is a better ‘prospect’ and certainly more financially sensible. Maybe they’re wary of Werner’s drop off, but Haaland is so physically imposing, he’ll flourish anywhere.

Get the nasty we all know is coming done and out the way, let me enjoy watching Wales at the Euros for the summer while I slowly get used to the post-Kane era, while the new manager is identifying his targets early (and trying to work with the club hierarchy on them).
If executed well this isn't a terrible situation, this is our painful rebuild. I just hope the Bale cash bonanza disaster is treated as a learning exercise by those responsible (we know it won't be).

Never sell to City or United. Other clubs can pay similar money, and he's got 3 years on his contract. If he wants to go to Manchester, let him know he can be sold there in 24 months.
Don't want to fuck Kane over here, but we have a very vested interest in not selling the best striker alive to a direct rival.

Sell to City. They'll just buy the title regardless of whether we cash in or not. Maybe we get lucky and play both fixtures later in the season when he's crocked, anyway.
For the next 2 seasons, CIty and United are not our rivals. We cannot compete for the EPL and we aren't in the ECL. Our focus will be on top 4 and our rivals for that will be Liverpool, Leicester and Woolwich.
In 3 seasons time, Kane will be finished and our new squad will be in their prime.
It's all about planning ahead.
