Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Bored with this now. Set a date and a fee and pay it or piss off. By 9th August and £160m should do it. If they pay it we need time to get some top players in, not a last minute trolley dash on the last day of the window.

Yep, season kicks off in 2 weeks and here we are waiting on Kane.

I've moved on already. Thanks for the memories Harry. As Nutter-Naylor Nutter-Naylor said, once he leaves thats all thats left.

The Telegraph isn't much better that the red top rags nowadays is it?

It never ceases to amaze me how often we see these unsubstantiated reports from papers, only for people to swallow it whole. You'd think that after decades of the same rancid tripe, people would learn that it tastes like shit and would stop eating it.

The telegraph report is basically a regurgitation of what we already know. There’s nothing new there. Their last paragraph talks about our loan but fails to say we’ve paid it back. They try to make out we need the money

How would City find another £150m+ and keep up the pretence of financial fair play? Have they got multiple sales lined up? I doubt it - most foreign clubs are skint and surely they won't sell to direct rivals.

I think we will want cash, not part exchange, not least because most of those City players are on huge wages. Struggling to see how this gets done.

There's nothing new in concrete terms since Harry said "I will stay as long as the club match my ambitions...." a few years ago..... Other than him telling Neville he'd love to play with KDB and Harry speculating that he might be worth 100m.

There's been no specific public declaration by HK that he wants to leave(*) (despite what liars like Danny Murphy & Trevor Sinclair will tell you) and no public acknowledgment (by either club) of a bid having been made (despite a few tabloid hacks insisting that there has been).

(*Not saying he doesn't.)

.....THFC & Manager have both said he's not for sale though; so there's that.

....Won't stop the media causing a froth until 1st of Sep though.

Buckle up as it's gonna get worse and worse once HK returns next week. Sadly, this place is gonna see unprecedented melting at every single tabloid inch in the meantime.... Some just aren't capable of holding their shit together and calmly seeing what unfolds.

They don’t give a shit about FFP. They got around it already at CAS, nothing will happen to them. They can do what they want. They might still be “under investigation” by the PL, but what are they going to do? Take their trophies away? Relegate them? They are too rich and now too embedded in the game for anything serious to happen to them. We all know where City’s money comes from, we all know their sponsorships are a total sham. But it’s too late to do anything about it now, we’ve let them take over the game.

Still have absolutely no idea if he'll be here come the start of the season. Will still have my respect if he does go but understand those that say otherwise. Personally, I think he's given everything in his time here and always been respectful so should be allowed to leave after the nosedive the club has took, given his age.

Sad, but most likely true..... Too many people sat back; either a) getting jealous of them or b) fawning over the plastic-glamour of it all.

Not a single lesson learned from when the Chavs won the Russian lottery.

While he is wearing the shirt I will support him as a modern legend. Once he leaves to buy trophies with oil blood money he is dead as a player to me.
When he comes back for his final payday when he is 35 and tells us about he has always been Spurs and loves the club I will appreciate his goals but but have zero respect for him.
should put this on a giant banner, exactly how I feel.

Nope. This is Tottenham Hotspur fc not Harry Kane FC. He CHOSE to sign a six year deal on good money. He will be sold if clubs meet OUR valuation, not theirs.

End of.

Neville-gate was NOT respectful.

Let's tell it like it is.

He should be allowed to leave if and only if City meet our valuation. He signed a 6 year deal with mega money willingly.

No doubt they are entirely cynical in their approach to FFP. But the ESL backlash showed public opinion matters too. If they take the piss too much, the same anti ESL sentiment can be mobilised against them.

Within reason I agree, but if we slap 200m on his head he aint going and having our star player and leader wanting out just doesn't sit right with me. If 150m is on the table, all things considered, i'd rather take the money and rebuild.

If they lower it to 150m they can pay it all up front. If Grealish is 100m then Kane is much more.

Yet again a world class player feel he needs to leave the football club to win trophies due to the lack of ambition of the owners.

And yet again half the fan base blame the player and aim their vitriolic venom at him.

We just never learn, do we.
