No chance, I get a nosebleed if I go North of Watford Gap….
so why would you sell a world class player…….that’s what we do Berbatov, Modric, Bale……prime examples but they wanted to leave nothing we could have done to keep them plus look at Eriksen he was gonna get a hefty pay rise long term contract basically other than Kane would be the first name down on the team sheet….new stadium state of the art training facilities living the dream…..but he wasn’t was he! Dont think Levy skimped still not enough, now take Son could play in any league he wanted for the majority of major teams he wanted well at least those that have a chance of winning something but he chose us think it’s partly luck you get a player that has the right attitude or at least an attitude that pleases supporters.Yeah my point here isn't just about Spurs though.
Say in the Bundesliga Dortmund's best players usually get snapped up by Bayern
Whereas here the PL clubs such as United,Liverpool,Chelsea,Us etc.. are determined not to sell our star players to other rival clubs or the 'top club - Man City'. This is good as it keeps the league competitive.
Obviously the main reason for not selling Kane is because he's our best player and was the best player in the league last season so why would you sell a world class player.
The whole time thanks.
I'm not a Enic/Levy apologist, but facts are facts. The cunt has three years to run on a contract he happily signed, and the club he's been flirting with for probably a year are taking the piss with their valuation or offer. The player, despite his laughable statement has not returned as expected.
I'd love nothing more than Kane to stay, completely understand his desire and drive to win things he probably won't here.
But ALL of this right now is on Kane, and one of the few times that Levy is in the right.
If Kane's numpty brother hd been savvy enough, he would have inserted a release clause like Grealish. He didn't. Ergo our player, our terms and in the right.
How you get from here to there says everything about you as a fan and a man.Why anyone would defend Kane in this instant is beyond me.
You little cucks for City

He's being a cunt. Sorry you are offended by that. The 'cunt'
Stopped reading after that.
You are the worst type of fan. Gutted you support Spurs tbh.

For clubs that aren't built upon selling players, there is very little chance a player can move up in the world without causing a little trouble.
Spurs are probably one of the worst for this, if not THE worst.
That's the harsh reality of the contract system.
In what other profession are employees made to sign a contract that gives them no right to change jobs of their own free will?
Players in Kane's position are not MADE to sign a particular contract. Those days are gone. If they sign a contract they later regret, it's their own fault, or that of their advisors. Jack Grealish is a fine example - he made sure he had an escape clause. For clubs that aren't built upon selling players, there is very little chance a player can move up in the world without causing a little trouble.

In most jobs employers dont pay 10's of millions to acquire a new employee. For clubs that aren't built upon selling players, there is very little chance a player can move up in the world without causing a little trouble.

I don't think there was an illegal approach from City. It's been painfully obvious from day one that Kane wanted it more than they did.The way they have turned the Spurs fans against our star man ie disgusting. Yes, obviously Kane is to blame too, but 100% City tapped him up last season
Yes. It seems that Kane & Co were very naive to sign this particular 6-year deal. Did they REALLY expect to get a load of trophies by now?In most jobs employers dont pay 10's of millions to acquire a new employee.
Players are huge investments for clubs and as such they are rightly protected via contract.
No one to blame here but the Kane brothers for signing a 6 year deal.
You can't expect the upside of a huge salary increase without the 'downside' of longer term commitment.
So how would you feel now if 3 years ago when Kane signed that 6year contract it had a 100 mill release clause built into it and City now activated it?Players in Kane's position are not MADE to sign a particular contract. Ultimately, we blew our chances with inept showings against Villa and Leeds, and although we ended up 12 points behind United, there were so many games were we lost last minute goals, fell asleep at vital moments etc. The 7th place finish suggests a poorer team than we have (obvious shit players aside.) and with investment in the right places we may not be far away.Yes. Maybe, if Kane approaches this season with low expectations it will take the pressure off him, he'll have a blinder and we'll win the league or something. Fingers crossed!
I'd feel he'd sold himself very cheap. Even Grealish had a £100m clause. I'd have expected at least £150m, wouldn't you?So how would you feel now if 3 years ago when Kane signed that 6year contract it had a 100 mill release clause in it?
Sad to see him go, respect that's how football works. So how would you feel now if 3 years ago when Kane signed that 6year contract it had a 100 mill release clause built into it and City now activated it?
Yeah, that's what i was going to tell him, i just looked it up cos i was suspicious!!No he didn't.
He scored 1 goal in the 4-1 win. Dier, Alderweireld and Lamela got the others.
We also have Oliver Skipp who looks like he's about to break into the first team. He already looks better than most of the midfielders on our books. We bought in an exciting Spanish kid, a new keeper and just bought last seasons best serie A defender. Still short in places but it could be the building blocks to a stronger challenge.
