In way Levy might be pleased about the whole thing, it’s an out for him given everything over the past 2 years. Still hard to imagine how Kane could have handled this worse, hopefully one way or another it is resolved shortly and we can either support Kane at Spurs if he changes his mind or let him go for big money.

I'm not disputing that he deserves to win things, he's too good not to - but he signed that contract. Did he think we would be clean sweeping everything by now?
My PERSONAL issue is behaving like a petulant child to get his own way. You said he's 28 "for Christ sake" so why is HE not acting like that and behaving like a baby throwing his toys out of the pram? I'm not necessarily angry that he wants or needs to go.
Hand in a transfer request then. But that would lose him a loyalty bonus and anger the fans. So let's kick off and make it look like the chairman's fault, because everything else is.

The only players that have ever left on their terms had to go on strike. Levy thinks he is winning by making him stay another season. He isn't. On any level. Kane should have been given a testimonial a handshake and we bank 150m odd quid. But no.

Players wanting to leave on their terms sign relatively short contracts with clauses, not 6 year deals.

I can see Kanes side. I've seen how levy operates. I can imagine him signing the contract with a handshake that it could be broken halfway through. His big mistake was to not get it in writing and trust Levy.
