Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You see. This is how you guys interpret it. You're missing the point. Son and Kane both had a goal and an assist.

But... scoring from 5 yards out is significantly easier than Son receiving the ball from the middle of the pitch and scoring from 30 out.

The point is - Kane's teammate had a worldie of a game that day. Probably had the best goal in the NLD in a longgg time as far as I can remember. Kane did well but he was overshadowed.

Also, this past game against Newcastle... PEH had an excellent assist, yet all everyone talks about is the little flick from Kane. Why is that? Where's the love for PEH?
YAAAAWWWWWNNN:dier:

I'm not interpreting it as anything lmao, I just found you calling that an easy shot funny. It was a really difficult finish and most strikers don't score from that angle. Both commentators at the time iirc were saying what a fantastic strike it was.

Son's goal was obviously still much better. I don't care whether you think Son played better in that game, honestly I don't remember the match that well. But that Kane goal may have been from five yards, but it was at a very unfavourable angle with the keeper set and defenders closing in.

Lol you see? That's how you guys interpret everything.

Instead of saying something like, "yeah Son had a worldie of a goal that game and Kane definitely benefited" your takeaway from that post was, "OMG did you say Kane's goal was easy?!"

Just like how PEH's pass was better than Kane's finish this past weekend.

No we get it - all Kane's goals are tap-ins and all his assists are miss-kicks - you are unbiased, in fact you are the only one who can see the truth, everyone else is wrong and only you know the truth that Kane is a very average player - you've told us so often enough.

Problem is you're full of shit - and every other Spurs fan knows that.

My word! The same people for years, and I mean literally years, have been saying the same shit about Kane. Also, bizarrely they continually compare him to Son, which I am confused by.

Seriously, do you not have anything better to do? There must be more important things to worry about on a daily basis.

Kane's goal against Newcastle - was PEH's pass better than the finish? Or was the finish better than the pass?

You're jumping into a discussion where you act like you know why Son is being brought up.

The question is whether Kane is a flat track bully.

If you would have been following, you would've seen the narrative being spewed around here that "Kane plays with shitty teammates hence can't score against good/top opposition."

Son's performance against top opposition completely debunks that narrative along with almost every other false narrative overrating Kane.

You didn't answer the question:

Kane's goal against Newcastle - was PEH's pass better than the finish? Or was the finish better than the pass?

PEH's pass, just like a dozen forward passes that day, would have been irrelevant if Kane hadn't got himself into the position needed to score .... the fact you can't see this crucial ability, the very skill that makes any 200+ goalscorer a top striker, class players we've all witnessed over the years - it's your inability to understand this that just confirms what we're all rapidly concluding, that you simply do not understand the very basics off the game.

That doesn't denigrate PEH's pass ... but simply put no Kane means no goal ... see how that works?

So you're saying the reason why Kane is starved of service so often is because he can't get into good positions as a result of his poor off the ball movement?

Ne feckwit - I'm saying the reason Kane scores so many goals for both Spurs and England is precisely because he gets into positions to score far more than most average strikers ... it's being in the right place at the right time which defines every top quality striker ....

Do you even watch football at all? how do you not know this, my children have a better grasp of what makes a quality striker than you do, and they're both teenage girls.

So Kane does get good service for both England and Spurs?

I thought he's starved of any good service.

So does he get good service or not?

Make up your god damned mind!

It's the wrong and dumb question - which myself and numerous other posters have already explained to you on numerous occasions - the service he receives differs in every game, there is no one answer.

What makes a good striker is what he does with the service he receives be that good or bad - he of course doesn't control that - all any striker can do is put himself in the best position to score, and then when those chances comes, to score as many as possible.

To answer your question directly - the service Kane receives naturally various from game to game - he will on average receive better service against weaker teams than against the elite sides - this might shock you but the same applies to every striker on the planet ...

There is a reason why from Ronaldo's 59 hat tricks - 52 have been scored against teams, domestic or international, who are not in the elite bracket - the only person who doesn't understand why this is the case would appear to be you - even when it's an integral part of football is blindingly obvious and has been explained multiple times - go figure.
