Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You realise 99% of managers get sacked at some point, right? It doesn’t make them bad managers. I don’t like Jose but he still obviously knows a great footballer when he sees one, Poch has ended up at PSG. Nuno wasn’t good enough but he’s still competent enough to spot a good footballer.

And maybe he will, and maybe when he does he will still play Kane at every opportunity he can, that’s just speculation. Actual facts right now are that he plays Kane for every possible minute he can.

Didn’t say they were bad managers I said they got sacked. They ran out of ideas, but the one common denominator was Kane playing 100% of every game.

Conte will upgrade Kane and we will grow as a club.

So … they all made the exact same mistake? All these top professionals, they’re all too dumb to have realised one after the other?

Yeah this is just your prediction though isn’t it. I seem to remember you getting angry in the match thread he wasn’t subbing Kane and saying you expected him to have more balls, so seems to me everything you expect isn’t coming true.

I wonder what you’ll do if he doesnt ‘upgrade’ Kane and continues to view him as an integral part of the side, as he clearly does now. Arguably THE most integral, since he’s the player he never seems to drop, no matter what.

And there you have it folks! Unquestionable proof that Kane was the problem, not prehistoric tactics or a coach being out of his depth. Kane was clearly dragging them down with his selfish Golden Bootery...

Oh yeah? Who's he gonna get that is an upgrade on last season's Golden Boot and top assist winner?

So why is Kane worse under Conte than he was under Jose?

Callum Wilson would be an upgrade on 2 goals in half a season but I’m guessing he wants and will get Vlahovic

If he doesn’t upgrade Kane then he wasn’t backed, our football will become atrocious again once Kane fully runs out of steam again, the manager will walk, and you can blame Levy for not backing him with a striker that you don’t t even want

He wasn’t rested he was injured or not fit due to not turning up for training.

Over the last few years that you are whining about? I think not...

Lesser teams we beat without Kane, like City three times in the PL plus in the CL, Ajax, and Dortmund

What about vs Chelsea, Liverpool, Woolwich, United etc?

Funny how you're the one cherry picking now, especially since the only reason we were without Kane against City in the CL was due to him being hacked down, and were much more competitive with them while he was on the pitch.

So that's the best you've got? Getting past Ajax thanks to a Moura miracle and Poch's tactics?

Okay.

Oh I want another striker, just one to rotate with the elite, nigh on impossible to upgrade one we currently have. I don't think anyone, including Vlahovic, would come in and 'replace' what Kane can do.

So why is Kane worse under Conte than he was under Jose?

Well, there is this little matter of a transfer saga which threw his confidence and focus off at the start of the season, and because some people won't get the fuck off his back I imagine it puts unnecessary pressure upon him.

Then again, we've been doing better as a team under Conte than Jose, and Conte has used Kane whenever he could because he says he is world class, so maybe you could stop saying silly things.

Yes folks. Callum Wilson is an upgrade on Harry "Golden Boot" Kane.

You heard it here first!

So the team has improved despite Kane still being crap

I never said he did, I said he wasn’t rested in games down the years, he was either injured or not fit due to not training.

So we can take the second point to nicely explain some of his form these past few months, and the first one shows that only when we were forced to did we try to do without Kane.

I mean, you're still wrong, but at least your argument defeats itself.

No Callum Wison is an upgrade on 2 goals in half a season

Which is a stupid way to look at it since Harry Kane hasn't scored less than 17 goal a season in the past 7 years. Once again the entire basis for your argument comes from this one highly abnormal season.

So the team has improved despite Kane still being crap

No, the team has improved since our tactics have switched to encourage others to join in rather than look to Kane as our only outlet. Imagine how much better our position would look if Son had put away either of the two chances Harry laid on a plate for him against Liverpool and Spam. Imagine if Dele wasn't 2 years off sharpness and had put away his own chance, or had squared the ball properly.

You do know football is a team game, right?

We did quite well in the Champions league run without him too. Quite a few games as well. And also vs city this season.

Did we really though? In the CL that year we only really squeezed past Ajax after being mostly outplayed by them over two legs thanks to a Moura miracle, and beating City this season was on matchday 1, where they dominated the whole game until we snuck one in at the other end.

Don't get me wrong, these were victories I am proud of, especially Ajax, but I don't think it contributes much to the narrative that we're just as good (if not better) without our most prolific striker since Greaves on the pitch.

We scored 7 goals in those CL games. Not too bad considering they were quarters and semis in the bloody champions league.

We also conceded 7 but its not like Kane is going to stop those goals scored against us. And not being able to dominate these teams is because our CMs were Sissoko and Winks. You cant dominate teams with these two regardless of who your striker is.
