Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don’t see Harry moving his family tbf, and as the red or blue scum aren’t an option I think he’s going to stay.
He will simply demand a very big financial cushion
When Shearer came down they did a Q and A. Both were asked who will be the PL top scorer and both said Kane.

Kane will NOT be the top scorer if he leaves the PL for a season or two.

Obviously doesn't mean he will stay with us, but he isn't leaving England at this point.

Your nephew’s story is not uncommon, unfortunately. If he makes it big (which it sounds like he is capable of doing!), I guarantee you the moronic coach that let him go will not be held accountable.

The smaller, younger, and more skillful players unfortunately often have an uphill battle as coaches favor the older and bigger players, because they (1) want to win and (2) mistake size for skill. The relative age effect is real, as players born in the first quarter of the year are picked more often than players born the rest of the year. The players born at the end of the year are at a huge disadvantage.as The Relative Age Effect in the 10 Best Leagues of Male Professional Football of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA)

Of course, when you’re born has no impact on your talent. It is all preselection by the coaches based on relative size and physical development. Lots of wonderful talents are being pushed out of the sport because of the stupidity of coaches.

I am moving my son (12, born at the end of December!) from his current academy to one that has a playing style that fits his own style. My son has a splendid first touch, outstanding passing skills, vision and intelligence to go along with not being at all selfish. He rarely takes more than three touches to pass or make a decision. He is a good teammate. All in all, he is the most skilled player in the team who also happens to make good decisions on the pitch.

But there is a giant kid on the team that is physically very mature. The team just hoofs the ball long so that this kid takes it and tries to score. If the kid needs to take 50 touches to get in a position to score, he will do so without any issues. This works against mediocre to bad teams, but fails miserably against good teams. His skills are okay, but he looks better than he is because he physically overwhelms most opponents. In three years when the differences in size disappear, this kid is going to suck.

The ironic thing about it is that my son is probably going to end up being bigger than this kid. My wife and I are both significantly taller than his parents. It’s just that my son is basically a year younger and is a late developer (like his mom and I were).

My son is currently being recruited by a couple of clubs that play more of the old Tottenham style (Poch, etc) with nice passing patterns, etc. He will be switching soon.
This story is all too familiar. I've had the same.

Unlike you though as a supportive parent, my dad after watching me play would just say you were shit then spend the next hour in the car back home doing a full in depth tactical analysis of my performance.

The only time he patted me on the head and I remember it like it was yesterday was when we beat Woolwich, 8-1. I almost scored a 30 yard screamer that came off the crossbar but all in all had a good game. It was at the old Highbury, they had an AstroTurf pitch underneath the grass one. Not a lot people know that.

We then went to directors box afterwards, I had my white spurs football socks on, full of sweat. My dad said to leave them on David Dein's seat 😂

IF he leaves , which imo hinges on us gettin champs LGE again... Were in it next season ... He stays.. if not... He leaves... IF he leaves I wouldn't like to be levy if he lets man u get him.. but in all seriousness don't think that'll happen,.. Bayern would be a good fit.. they've worked well with slightly older players and got good results think roben and low-end ski... Excuse the predictive text. Bayern have Champs LGE EVERY season with out fail,. AND physically a slightly more forgiving LGE than the prem..AND the other thing is they can afford him...

If we go by the last decade or so none of the super expensive purchases Utd made got them into a title challenge and I don’t think Kane is going to be that difference.
Ten Hag has made some sensible additions. They are comfortably third despite still having holes in the squad.

You don't think that the best all-round striker in the premier league (* yes I know Haaland is a machine but Kane's all around game is better) will put them closer to the top?

Kane will stay, go to United or the Barcodes. Right now I think options one and two are more likely, with him perhaps favouring the move.

Barring a disaster, United will win the Mickey Mouse cup next weekend, and are arguably odds-on favourites for the FA Cup. He's going to win trophies, Ten Hag. Are we?

Don't agree.

And if this takeover of United (whether it's by the Saudis or Jim Ratcliffe) happens, they will not baulk at spending £100m on Kane.

I cannot see Levy turning down that sort of money for a player with a year left on his contract, especially if Kane makes it clear he'd like to go.
