Ex-Spurs Player Harry Winks

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

True. It's rare that a manager slags off an individual player. With PEH finally having a rest and Skipp on the way back, we'll very soon find out what he thinks about Winks.

One thing we'll never know which I would like to know is what do the other players think about him. Giving performance appraisals of his mates to the press and playing the way he does which is to mark a player when we have the ball under pressure and point and yell when defending. We've all played with somebody like that.
The players probably think he's a snidey, cowardly little cunt who in reality would get a good slapping from somebody. You can't really do that in professional football though. I can only imagine Romero and Bentancur, decent international players laughing at this fucking nonentity passing judgement on them.

I think any talented player coming to the club and having to sit on the bench while this useless little shit plays ahead of them would find that a bit demoralizing. I don't think it's any coincidence that players with 10 times his ability have already failed here while Winks continues to survive almost every shit-show he produces with impunity.

Jose and Nuno didn't get much right here but dumping this gimp was one of them. It's only a matter of time before Conte does the same.

The saddest part is grown men watch other grown men kick a ball and then pay money for it.Grown men then sing stupid sounding songs and get really excited about these other grown men kicking a ball. Then these grown men come to these forums and talk about the other grown men kicking a ball. Grown men...LOL indeed.
the saddest grown men are the ones who dont know shit when they see it.. sad naive little men who think their 'positivity' makes them fans, when in reality they are the most negative thing about the club.

the competent players dont have a split in the fan base between the realists and the 'positive' cringe bags. there's a reason for that.

Tbf I can see both sides. There is supporting the players no matter what and there is supporting the club. Some fans think the players are the club. Until we see a cinema complex playing at right back then it's a good point.

Then again there are probably fans who just enjoy being contrarian on internet forums to pick a fight for lord know's what reason.

I should know. I've been picking fights with Bazali Bazali since we faced off at the Hull Primary School northern soul-athon in the late 70's.

im not sure how defending shit players in anyway benefits the club. by the way its not like they are doing it for free, they are getting paid ridiculous amounts of money so with that comes expectations and standards. the spurs fan base is far too soft and has been for too long. with the owners we have the last thing you want is a soft fan base because they will allow the incompetent players to hang around far longer than they should because its convenient and cheap.

im not saying all fans should be like madrid's where they smash up players like bales car on the way out from the stadium LOL. but theres a reason why their trophy cabinet is full and ours is empty...they are ruthless, its a results business, no room for sentiment.

do you think kane would rather the fans were a soft touch, who never voiced their disapproval of players who shouldn't be on the same pitch as him? or do you think kane would appreciate fans who actually wanted him to be out there with worthy teammates. teammates who are going to get him to play at a higher level of football and give the club a real chance at success?

Winks against Wolves....

Most Dribbles
Most Touches
Most Successful Passes
Most tackles

Did he have a good game? - No. But he wasn't the reason that we lost. He did the job that he was asked to do. It's up to our forward players to score the goals.

Jesus, who do you think you are?
If football clubs picked teams based on the opinions of hugely ignorant fans whose opinions are based on emotions and a profound absence of understanding, the club's would be fighting for relegation spots immediately.
Looking at the approbation and abuse in here, you guys need to take a long hard look at yourselves.
You've abused the guy for so long, this thread has simply become a dumping ground for people doubling down on their condemnation in an infantile competition to post the most abusive analysis of the guys worth.
Personally I hope he stays at the cub until he's 35 and then goes on to manage it.
The thought of it boiling your (collective) piss is a source of massive delight to me.

Suffer - the lot of you.

Muahahaha. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Bentancur had more dribbles (so your first stat is a lie/fake) . Same number of tackles. And while fewer passes , he had 2 key passes to Winks' 0.

But according to the great and the good of this forum he's a coward who shies away from tackling the opposition!?

A lot of players were shite against Wolves

Winks is shite against every team we play

I watched him deliberately move out of space and put Wolves players between him and his team mates. I watched him put his hand up to signal he didn't want the ball.
I watched him fail to control the ball and give it away time and time again.

Those things aren't in the stats.

he should be priority to shift in summer, a dark cloud will be removed then. get rid of this soft culture shit at the club.
I think he'll go. Especially if Conte stays and Levy agrees to spend on a big name (my, how I'd love a CM beast like Milinkovic-Savic). Winksy plays for now cause we haven't got many alternatives, but his days are numbered for sure.

I reckon he will get an offer from a team like Palace or Southampton...or a Burnley/Watford/Norwich if they stay up. Or maybe from Fulham or B'mouth, they'll say it's for his PL experience.

At his age, he wants to play every week and he won't get that at Spurs. He cannot get that at Spurs.
