im not sure how defending shit players in anyway benefits the club. by the way its not like they are doing it for free, they are getting paid ridiculous amounts of money so with that comes expectations and standards. the spurs fan base is far too soft and has been for too long. with the owners we have the last thing you want is a soft fan base because they will allow the incompetent players to hang around far longer than they should because its convenient and cheap.Tbf I can see both sides. If football clubs picked teams based on the opinions of hugely ignorant fans whose opinions are based on emotions and a profound absence of understanding, the club's would be fighting for relegation spots immediately.

I watched him fail to control the ball and give it away time and time again.
Those things aren't in the stats.
I think he'll go. Especially if Conte stays and Levy agrees to spend on a big name (my, how I'd love a CM beast like Milinkovic-Savic). Winksy plays for now cause we haven't got many alternatives, but his days are numbered for sure.
I reckon he will get an offer from a team like Palace or Southampton...or a Burnley/Watford/Norwich if they stay up. Or maybe from Fulham or B'mouth, they'll say it's for his PL experience.
